Location, cleanliness, staff, bedrooms, breakfast all amazing. Really enjoyed our stay. Our room and bathrooms were massive and even a small outside patio area with table and chairs. Constant lit fires inside made it nice and cosy. Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was great and staff were always on hand and friendly. Keep up the good work!

I love Franschhoek, feels like your in a different country.
I love Franschhoek, feels like your in a different country. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, for every taste and budget. Everything is in walking distance. Very nice shops to browse or buy some souvenirs. Plenty of wine farms around and if you don't want to drive take the famous Wine Tram.

The town is adorable and very safe.
The town is adorable and very safe. It is very french in the type of food served at several places (Reuben's is fantastic) and in many of the wineries. The town is known for it's gourmet restaurants and exquisite wines, all are affordable. And then there's the shopping! I like the small size of the town as it is intimate at 17,500 people and everyone is very friendly. It is very easy to walk around and the wine train is helpful for exploring the many wineries. We ended up staying an extra 2 days and would have loved to stay longer!

Our initial booking had a strong unpleasant odor and was surrounded by baboons, making it difficult to open the doors. However, the owners promptly responded and swiftly upgraded us to a fantastic property. Their professionalism was exemplary.

The main purpose of going to Franschhoek is to eat in some of the fabulous restaurants. Apart from that there is not a lot else to do and it can be very hot making it uncomfortable just to walk around the village. If self catering there are very good grocery stores including Woolworths Food and a relatively new and modern Checkers. There is also a large Pick n Pay but it is a much lower standard than the other two which are more up market.

We love Franschhoek and could easily have stayed longer.
We love Franschhoek and could easily have stayed longer. We love wandering along Huguenot Street with its many shops and small restaurants and the market on Saturdays and Sundays. We visited Haute Cabriere, Mont Rochelle and Mullineux & Leeu. We enjoyed an excellent lunch in all and had the best wine tasting in Mullineux & Leeu. On the way out we had “high tea” (at 10.30 am) in Orangerie at Le Lude which was quite amazing
Gorgeous property surrounded by mountains, fruit orchards and vineyards, water, and a nature reserve. Property was about a 12 minutes drive into Franschhoek town, restaurants, and vineyards. What stood out was Tim’s exceptional hospitality. He was so helpful in planning our stay, making recommendations, making reservations, etc. He even helped us find and book a reservation at our next stop. Thanks, Tim! Would definitely come here again to rest and relax!
This hotel is perfectly situated in Franschhoek! It is also a few 100 meters from the wine tram station & restaurants which is amazing as you don't have to drive anywhere! The bedrooms are very comfortable with aircon and comfy beds! It is also super convenient that Hussar Grill is on the property (breakfast is also served there) and there was a wide selection of options and really delish options too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Allen and his wife run a lovely place. Both veterans in the hospitality industry they live and breathe tender, loving and care.
Pool is lovely with fab views still very relaxing.
Breakfast also a favo, kitchen staff is skilled. Again, much eye for detail.
Upon check out I needed to reallocate to an airbnb in town and Allen dropped me off personally as it was too hot to go on foot. Again, Above and beyond!!
Will come again!
The guesthouse is a wonderful accomodation in a lovely colonial style mansion with a beautiful garden, heated pool, great breakfast and free parking. It’s located in the middle of Franschhoek only a few steps from several great restaurants but still very quiet. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the complementary drinks and popcorn in the room.
Large hotel rooms with spacious bathrooms, clean, nice pool with amazing views across Franschhoek and the surrounding mountains, vegan breakfast option 🌿 Away from the hustle and bustle - far up the mountain, only a few hotel rooms in the lodge. Have some wine and enjoy the sunset from the pool or deck 🤯
The perfect gateway to explore the beautiful surroundings of Franschhoek. The hotel has everything I hoped for: history, beautiful gardens, nice pool, personality, tranquility and very spacious rooms. Above all, the owner was very helpful en friendly and breakfast was fantastic!
Brilliant hotel - one of the best we've ever stayed in. The location among the vineyards, on the outskirts of (but still walkable to) Franschhoek was lovely. Our room was beautiful, with gorgeous views of the mountains from our bed. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was delicious.
Incredible, beautifully appointed boutique hotel in the heart of Franschhoek. Byron, one of the staff members, was superb and simply could not to enough for us to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Lovely breakfast and pool area, would highly recommend.
A beautiful, tranquil luxury hotel, right in the centre of Franschhoek. Breakfast outside on the terrace was delicious and we could not have felt more welcomed by the friendly staff. Our room was large and spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped.
We stayed in a 40' container. The farm setting is very nice. We had views of the farm, animals, vineyards, and surrounding mountains. Pigcasso is a monumental animal we'll never forget. We saw the Franschhoek mountain sign from our rooftop terrace.
Was a lovely self catering cottage . Very close to town. Lovely patios and gardens . House was fully equipped you didn’t need a thing. Tim has a wealth of knowledge about the area and was very kind and helpful. A lovely home away from home.
The location of the property is good and close to all the major attractions of Franschhoek and the surrounding wine farms. Off street parking is provided. The room is spacious and clean and the staff responsive and helpful.
Beautiful hotel which is perfectly located. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. Fantastic breakfast and exceptionally comfy room. Will definitely stay here again.
The staff running the hotel are just incredible. Their help made our trip to Franschhoek the unforgettable experience it was. Definitely want to come back!
Breakfast was amazing and extremely warm and cozy. The location of this hotel for central Franschhoek is outstanding! We could not have chosen better!!
