A 17th-century former stately home, Hartwell House provides elegantly furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi. Each room features a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and a CD player. The building and grounds are wonderful. The front desk staff and butlers (guys who helped with luggage) were professional and polite , even the gardener who I stopped to chat with was very nice,knowledgeable and helpful. The lady who gave me a massage in the spa was excellent.

    The location, the rooms face the courtyard and are very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was perfect and the tea room very nice and cosy. Our host let us in at midday even check in was not until 4pm so we could get a shower and be ready for an appointment. I would definitely come back!
