Plentiful breakfast buffet and fast wifi. It was great that rooms, restaurant and office were located in one floor, no steps. We parked in front. Centrally located on N222, the hotel has easy access to explore Rio Douro Valley. It is better to rent a car. Roads are in very good condition. We had delicious lunch in Castas e Pratos and DOC in front of the river. We recommend to visit small Quinta do Tedo for a personal wine tasting. We saved one day for a private 2-hour boat trip down the rive with Magnifico Douro in Pinhao. Instead of a uncomfortable group rabelo boat trip, we rented their Viosinho boat. This trip was well worth it. We enjoyed our 2-night stay in São Luiz The Vine House. Our trip to Rio Douro Valley was perfect. Nov 2023

Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Clean, comfortable and spacious ensuite room with amazing views. The shared kitchen was well equipped and each room was allocated space in the fridge and the cupboard. There was a small swimming pool and plenty of parking. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, check in was easy.

Situated in Meinedo, in a historic building, 37 km from Ducal Palace, Casa da Portela - Sem Igual is a country house with barbecue facilities and shared lounge. Fantastic breakfast it exceeded our expectations by a lot very complete and diverse The house is completely renovated incredible good conditions I had an issue with the reservation on the booking and the host was really nice and quickly found a solution. The host gave us some information about the surroundings and about a place to eat. The zone is really quiet and has a great view to the mountains.
