“i was really happy staying in fujimoto. it is located in very peaceful place which is little bit far from kurogawa(just five min by shuttle bus. he picked me up.). fujimoto looks traditional style buildind so i felt that i exprienced real ryokan. two hot springs for woman outside, 4 private hot springs(you have to ask front desk) i went to only two hot springs outside. the hot springs are by river and it is so~~~beautiful view. i could enjoy hot spring and seeing nice view and hearing stream sound together. if you want to exprience hot spring with real nature, i can recommend it. staffs are very kind and nice.(they can not speak english well and i do not know japanese however we communicated! haha) breakfast is the best. ive been to two other ryokan before but here is the best breakfast. it is buffet style and really tasty like that mom cooks for me. room is large so little bit cold but there is kotats(japanese hot stove) it made me so warm. i liked it.”

We had been numbers of onsens in kitakyushu, this place really offer the top service, even most of Japanese onsen resorts r nice. The half-board meal here are great. and we dun think its location is an issue to us... as it's just at one end of the Kurokawa, it allowed us walk around the entire Kurokawa town. Ryokan Yunosako offers outdoor and indoor hot spring baths for public and private use, Japanese-style rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
“The place included free dinner and breakfast which included a lot of different foods. The dinner would cost around forty pounds each and the breakfast about twenty pounds if on its own. Therefore the room would be quite cheap! The food was amazing and very traditional. In addition the staff were very nice and helpful with the public transport details. We missed our morning bus and they even drove us to the nearest town for us to take the bus. Also the lady serving us had good English and was very sweet. There are also several onsens which we enjoyed going to which are included in this cost.”

Located in the Kurokawa Onsen hot-spring area and built in the Edo period, Ryokan Yumotoso offers traditional rooms with Tahara River views.
“This is a traditional Japanese house with a lot of wood used for decorations, tatami floors and shoji walls which give the facilities specific atmosphere. The interior was simple and minimalistic but still comfortable. I liked dimmed lights and slightly raw, natural look of bathtubs and pools, especially outside ones. The staff was excellent, very helpful and discreet. We had dinner and breakfast included in our plan and the food was just amazing. I felt like a valued guest there. Truly fantastic experience.”

“What a great experience ! This ryokan was the best location we experimented during our two trips in Japan (one month in total): we had a very nice semi open bath with water from the hot spring in our bathroom, on top of that the facility has an onsen on top of a little hill with a nice view, our hostess spoke english and was charming, the food was delicious. All in all clearly it was clearly worth the price.”
