At Masonic Arms Gatehouse each room includes bed linen and towels. Very comfortable bed, large shower. The hotel also provided us with a steamer as they knew we were going to attend the wedding. Our host Christine was over the top lovely and so welcoming. Every question we asked was answered. Christine was so helpful and willing to give us suggestions on our travel route as well as recommendations for a dinner venue.

It also provides the perfect base for exploring this beautiful and often forgotten part of Southern Scotland, with it's castles, forests, waterfalls, lochs and vast expanse of wilderness. Victorian Building that balanced a modern room/ bathroom with authentic shared spaces and a full shared Kitchen. Super friendly host who was really helpful, we will be back.
