Refurbishment of public areas was underway and carried out with minimal inconvenience. We had been told about this in advance. Breakfast good. Bed comfortable. Extra chair provided when requested. Holiday Inn is the hotel of our choice.

The breakfasts were substantial with a wide selection. The hotel also offered a limited but adequate selection of evening meals, thus saving the need to travel into town. Above all, the staff were amongst the most friendly and helpful that we have encountered during many years of travelling. If all Holiday Inns are of the same standard then they will always be our first choice in future.
