This was the best stay I had in all my Europe trip. Staff was extremely courteous and friendly; they agreed to help me check-in late and to check me out early to catch my train. It was refreshing to have my own toilet in my room. Housekeeping staff were friendly and consistent; they kept cleaning the room and emptying baskets all day. Location is perfectly set in front of the lake, and I had beautiful morning and night walks all around Sankt Gilgen in Christmas! I am definitely planning to come back in the summer.

Quite, very clean, easy to reach, great location, friendly staff, safe, spacious and very well maintained…
View outstanding, but of course a hike to earn it! Once you get used to those stairs it goes more quickly but the first hike up with bags was grueling. Clean clean clean, very safe feeling place, youth hostel vibe (but super clean!)
The bunk beds actually felt sturdy, having stayed in multiple hostels recently these were the first I felt very confident climbing up without it falling over.
Nice spacious, clean room, nice clean bathroom, few things to do in lobby, big comfy towels. I'd compare it more.to a hotel rather than a hostel. Very welcoming staff too. Way overexceeded my expectations as I was only looking for one nights cheap.room. also price.for location is great.
Amazing host. Great location. We felt safe and home :)
The hostel was in a great location, on a quiet street halfway between the train station and the city centre. Staff were friendly and always around to answer any questions. There were lots of ladies showers, and they were kept very clean. Rooms were spacious and included a desk and a secure locker each (which locked with your room key). The bunk beds were really solidly built and comfortable (not the flimsy squeaky type you get in most cheap hostels!) Coffee, tea and juice available at reception throughout the day was a nice bonus.
Great location, lovely decor, cheaply priced, really nice breakfast and quiet, safe atmosphere
Ok, it's not too bad - for one night or weekend. 15 min walk to old town, nice staff. cheap and safe parking near hostel - 10 EUR / 24 h
Location ok, very pleasant lady on reception, breakfast was just bread/cheese/ham/apple/egg/coffee, which is typical for every place. Hostel reminds post soviet dormitory as we have in Czech Republic for students, but as I understood cheaper price you wouldn’t find anyways, Austria has its own crazy prices. So in total place is ok, especially for one night :) Very clean, silent, nice nature, all good
