Very grand, old school hotel, Belle Époque, marble, chandeliers, gilding, malachite pillars, stained glass etc but everything is a bit rickety eg the wonderful cage elevator worked 50% of the time, but the incredibly good natured staff sorted things out as soon as they could. And very good value for money. It was also ten minutes walk from the Egyptian Museum. And the hotel driver was very good value. We LOVED it. It was very clean.

The lady at the reception was very helpful and helped us print our airtickets. They have baggage storage facility, for when we went outside of Cairo to Aswan and Luxor, at no extra cost. The location was good, it was right in front of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir square. You have a coffee shop and KFC nearby. There’s a street full of clothing shops near and a money exchange bureau. We are going back to the same hotel after our Aswan and Luxor trip.

It has all you need for a great stay in the heart of Cairo. Washing machine, drying rack, coffee machine… From there you can walk to the Egyptian Museum and you can easily take an Uber to get you to other places of interest. The communication with the staff was very good and the location is mid in Downtown Cairo with many restaurants nearby! Can only recommend it and we will certainly stay here on our next trip to Cairo.

We recommend the beef sandwich right next to the building door, it costs 10 pounds for one.
