Long time since I stayed at the county, returning home for a family funeral. Hotel was as lovely as ever, but more importantly the staff were extremely professional and helpful, and gave us a room with wonderful views of Durham Cathedral and Castle. Thank you

The hotel is charming and beautifully decorated and we loved the view of Durham cathedral from our room. We also appreciated the Molton Brown bathroom soaps and body lotion etc. The shower was fantastic and one of the best on our travels for pressure and temperature control. The breakfast was delicious and they also catered for gluten free.
