I took the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto and from Kyoto to Osaka. The close location to Kyoto station is very helpful when travelling outside of, and within Kyoto when visiting tourist attractions. There are convenience stores close by as well as many bars and restuarants in Kyoto station. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The host allowed an extra hour to check out at no extra cost. I highly recommend staying at this place when visiting Kyoto.

We liked that you could hire bikes for free. The rooms were a decent size, still small in comparison to Western apartments, but there was enough space for us. The beds were comfy. I liked the onsen and the amenities they provide there. Only a 10 minute walk to the main Kyoto Station.
