Quite simply, everything was perfect from start to finish. When you stay at OKU you really feel the attention to detail: Staff - the staff were ever-present, ALWAYS smiling and friendly, happy to have a chat and incredibly attentive. On this note I have to give a huge shout out to Claudia on the guest experience desk. She quite literally arranged EVERYTHING for us - boat trips, transfers, restaurants, you name it. Despite my many emails, she always replied quickly and kept me in the loop every step of the way. On this note, if you are planning a trip, book everything in advance, as it's nearly impossible to get a table at certain restaurants on the day. The hotel and pool - the hotel is split into two sides, the family side and the adult side. Everything, rooms included - was impeccably clean. The split was perfect - if you wanted some quiet time, the family pool was great. If you wanted a bit more atmosphere, the adult pool was ideal. The energy was built throughout the day perfectly - at the adult pool, there was nice chillout music until midday (I loved being at the pool early, when it was quiet). From 12pm the music energy picked-up slightly, and from 2pm the DJ started. I was worried that it would be too chaotic by the pool, but they got the balance just right - the DJ set had a perfect vibe - it wasn't out and out day club partying, but enough to make people have a good time, without being too much in your face. No issues ever getting sun-loungers or beds. If you do book this hotel, I'd recommend clearing at least one full day to hang out by the pool. We did this on the 3rd day, spending the entire day by the pool, and had a great time. Like all staff, the team by the poolside were ever attentive (without being too aggressive), giving you space but always on hand to bring over food, drinks etc. The breakfast was superb, as was the restaurant. Room--Very spacious ,clean with full of amenities ,a very large bed, clean bathtub and shower box e.t.c all found above expectation Breakfast --amazing so much variety of buffet it really match with the hotel standard .we enjoy eating to the limit pool :- a very nice spacious 3 out door pools .it is the beauty of the hotel but cold to swim .However we enjoy the indoor pool with full of spa facilities. The hotel honestly clearly stat about all pools in your web site.

Mahon is a very pleasant town with both town and harbour areas to explore. Harbour trips are available and recommended. Public transport is available from the town to many beaches on the island and to the larger town of Cuitadella. The island is a contrast to the other Balearic islands being quieter and cleaner in appearance with much green countryside and lovely beaches

There is absolutely nothing special about it apart if nice sun sets, small rocky beaches and the closeness of Ciutadella which is a great place to spend evenings at. We’ve been traveling using a rented car - every day a different spot to visit. I found Menirca to be the best of Balearic islands. its avsolitely amazing - the tourquise waters of the south, the dramatic absolutely fantastic braces of the north. Great walks. Food! - the bed I found was in the central village if Es Mercadona. The small place at the centre called simple a ‘tapas bar’. Their chef is an artist serving a proper fine food. After a few days of trying different restaurants we ended up with going there every night for a dinner. Don’t miss Mahon on your trip of course :)
