The venue is amazing, mixes country cottage and modern very well. Staff was pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. My room, beyond having all the facilities necessary and a Nespresso machine, had a lot of character.

The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet despite its location on a busy road. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and lots of choice. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also good. I cannot fault the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful and ready to go the extra mile to make our stay special. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Roxana in food and beverage was outstanding! Her welcoming smile and friendly customer service was wonderful. Our trip was memorable and our stay at holiday Inn made perfect because of Roxana’s hospitality. Well done Roxana and thank you. The holiday Inn should hire more people like Roxana. Thank you.

This splendid manor house is set in 35 acres of wooded parkland and offers modern facilities in historic surroundings. The property boasts an indoor pool and a gymnasium. The staff from the reception through to the restaurant and bar were all exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive providing a genuine sense of being warmly welcomed as a guest, rather than a customer. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, food was excellent. Surrounded by tall trees and expansive grounds to wander, birds everywhere (including some fabulous and very friendly peacocks).

Hotel Cromwell Stevenage was once a farm house and home to John Thurloe, secretary to Oliver Cromwell. The property is close to the A1(M) and just 10 minutes’ drive from Knebworth Park. The entrance to the hotel almost put me off, but as I got into my room, I was blown away by the ambience of the stylishly decorated room. Great value for money

We have been traveling for 5 weeks in the UK. This is THE best place we’ve stayed! Bed was SO comfy. Impeccably clean. Room was warm and man at desk came promptly down to switch it. Breakfast-big wow! Bacon, sausage, etc. Hated to leave.

From Start to finish all the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. There was no snobbery shown. The bedrooms were spotless, the breakfast was so good, fresh hot, and very tasty. The ground are absolutely beautiful, and the gardeners were friendly. Absolutely loved the place. My brother in law passed away to pancreatic cancer in Sussex, and I had been in Brighton for 4 days. I came up to ware as one of my dearest friends Ann had passed away to cancer leaving her husband, son, and daughter behind. She got to see her children Marry but didn't get to meet her 2 granddaughter as both her kids were expecting their first child. It was heartbreaking, but Fanhams Hall gave me the space and kindness I needed to stay strong and grieve in my own time. Thank you all so much Kind regards Sarah Ellis
