Hotel Marina 3 stars

Hotel in Monterosso al Mare

Located just a few steps from the beach, Hotel Marina offers accommodation in Monterosso al Mare, in the Cinque Terre National Park. We had a lovely room with beautiful white and beige lace curtains. We were happy to have a fridge, a water cooker, coffee, tea and sugaring our room. The bathroom was enough big and it was clean. The breakfast was fine, just enough choices that one tend not to overeat.

Hotel in Corniglia

Set in Corniglia, 2.6 km from Guvano Beach, AMARE IL MARE Affittacamere features views of the sea. Everything! Amare il Mare is absolutely perfect in every single way imaginable. We only booked one night, which was a shame; we really should have booked for longer! The view, the room, the amenities, the hosts... everything exceeded our expectations. What a beauty of a spot!

Locanda Il Carugio 2 stars

Hotel in Corniglia

Situated in Corniglia, 800 metres from Corniglia Beach, Locanda Il Carugio features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This 2-star hotel offers free... The whole experience was just amazing. The hosts are wonderful, the breakfast is brilliant and the room (I can of course only speak for ours) was extremely comfortable. They care about the environment so there are soap and shampoo bars and a water machine in the lobby which is praiseworthy. Also, there is parking immediately outside if you arrive by car, which can be extra valuable during peak season. It is a few hundred metres from the historic streets, but that was a pro rather than a con since it meant peace and space too. We cannot recommend highly enough.

Abbadia San Giorgio

Hotel in Moneglia

Set in Moneglia and with Moneglia Beach reachable within 200 metres, Abbadia San Giorgio offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. We arrived there 2 hours before check in and we kindly could check in even earlier than planned. The location is beautiful. Very calm atmosphere, beautifully decorated and you instantly feel very welcome. The room is very cosy, it was very clean and there were already homemade cookies waiting for us to be eaten :-) with some tea. The room is exactly as in the pictures, so is the whole hotel. Then we parked our car at the private parking which was gated and we felt our car was safe and only a 2min walk by the hotel. The village itself is amazing. Very calm and beautiful. Greta was such a sweetheart and made recommendations and reservations for the restaurants for dinner (Julia and Monilo), which we both recommend. She is such a kind person and so is everyone else. After we went to the cinque terre on the first day as a day trip, which is super easy to get to (train station is a 5min walk from the hotel), we had homemade cake waiting in the room for us. The staff really seems to be loving what they do. You can feel that. Now the breakfast, I mean where should I start. Everything was fresh, great choice and just simply super delicious. There‘s absolutely nothing negative about this hotel. Thank you to Greta and the whole staff that gave us such great memories to our babymoon. Keep doing what you do!

FAQs about hotels in Cinque Terre

Cliff-Hugging Beauty

One of Liguria’s most beautiful areas, the Cinque Terre are 5 UNESCO World Heritage-listed villages dramatically positioned on the Mediterranean coastline.

Each has a train station, but the most exhilarating way to visit the Cinque Terre is on foot. It’s not easy at times, but is definitely rewarding. The route starts (or finishes) at Riomaggiore, the southern-most village, home to a range of accommodation including a few Cinque Terre hotels on the beach.

The easy road between here and Manarola is called the Via dell’Amore, or Lovers’ Lane. Colourful Manarola houses hug the rocky cliffs overlooking the turquoise water below. The next village along is Corniglia, the only one not by the beach, but which offers panoramic views from its hilltop position.

Next is Vernazza, arguably the most picturesque of the 5, spread over a narrow promontory jutting into the sea and with a castle tower at its tip. Still very much a fishing village, it is centred around its small harbour and beach.

The longest beach is at Monterosso al Mare, the last town on the trail. Due to its location and easy access, it is home to what are possibly the best Cinque Terre hotels for families on Booking.com. However, whichever village you choose to stay in, you can expect wonderful views and fantastic food.
