How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This room was next to a service road where diesel long haulers let their trucks run all night. Along with that noise, there seemed to be a weird vibration in the room, perhaps from the trucks running. Road into the motel was full of deep potholes.
Economical price, and the room had everything I needed. I was looking for a room on a budget, and this one delivered.

Kitchenette needed a few more items. Strainer. Cookie/baking sheet for oven, hot pads, oven mitts. Room needs another table/counter to set my bag/luggage on. I’m not excited about setting that stuff on the floor.

The toilet rocked when you sat on it, so probably was not installed correctly, and there should have been some hooks on the back of the bathroom doors, there is no place to hang your clothes. Only two pillows were provided, husband sleeps with two himself.
It was very affordable, and looked like it had recently been renovated.

Gravel portions of a narrow parking lot was not pleasant. Would have been muddy if it was raining. Was unable to locate staff to ask questions. Nobody in the office and nobody answering the phone around 6 pm. Gave up after an hour. In their defence they did call back later.
Wonderful bath and shower. Good kitchenette. Comfortable bed. Quiet.

Not the nicest place I've ever stayed but I would say it was great value for the money. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Nice big TV. Check in was a breeze

The ambiance isn't exactly welcoming; rather spartan in appearance. I fully understand that this has nothing to do with the actual comfort I experienced, however the first impression is similar to arriving at your camp dorm room.
My room was warm, on a colder SK night, and the bed was very comfortable.

They have done recent upgrades so bed, kitchenette etc were all new. The bathroom was huge and very clean. air conditioner worked well.

No Airconditionng or thermostat control in room. There was a large fan provided that kept the air circulating. The electrical needs to be updated as I kept tripping the power bar breaker - no breaker box in the room. Door lock was only the door knob lock, there was a deadbolt but it didn't work. there was only 1/2 of the throw lock on the door - so from a security point of view, it was poor. Price for the room was OK but compared to other hotels of a higher quality in area, seemed a bit high (Name brand hotels were about $7-12 higher - probably will pay the extra next time). There was daylight coming through under the door - not an issue in summer when I stayed - but perhaps an easy accesss for mice? And could be quite drafty in winter.
It's an older hotel, but clean. Had the ammenities I wanted. Price was OK, within what I wanted to pay as I was only overnighting 1 night. TV and channels were good, Wi-Fi good. Easy acces to get to and to other ammenities in area. Room had toaster so if I wanted I could make toast - rarely see toasters in hotel rooms. Coffee maker too, but electrical in room weak as kept poping breaker on power bar as I used microwave

We asked for 2 Queen beds so we assume they did not have many to choose from They have done recent renovations but not to this room The door had a one inch gap between it & the floor & no deadlock We were unable to get the tv to work but I’m sure if we had phoned the desk they would have helped us
