The building and rooms are all quite outdated - especially the outside spaces and the pool etc. it doesn’t look as it is shown on the pictures. We were hoping to chill at the hotel after check out whilst we waited for a connection but decided against it as pool area wasn’t particularly inviting.

Great location right in the village but still with a good view/outlook from the veranda/breakfast area. Loved sitting eating breakfast (which was GREAT by the way!) whilst watching all the humming birds! Staff were incredibly friendly :)

Very small biting insects- you did not know they were there until welts appeared. Use insect repellant everywhere in Minca.

Location is fantastic! The large property makes you feel you are far from town (but actually just a few minutes to walk) and the porches and decks provide great views of the sierras. The hummingbird feeders attracted crowds of exotic hummingbirds and many other beautiful birds could be seen perched or flying.

The rooms were a little dark.

The hummingbirds were amazing. The pool was nice and it was really close to town. The parking was great and one of the few places you could arrive to Minca to by car without a 4x4.

It's a basic hotel. There were a few bugs in our room. Our mosquito nets didn't actually cover the whole bed - but we didn't get bitten at night. Our TV kept randomly turning on. Can be noisy especially the roosters!

The location is amazing, right near the town and convenient to get everywhere. Staff were super friendly. We got upgraded to a better room for free. Really loved the waffles at breakfast. Good showers. Beautiful balcony with the hummingbirds.

Pool isn't as spectacular as the pictures, but no reason to not go.

Beautiful view, right in town, really nice hotel with hammocks and views. The staff were very friendly and always helpful and I felt very safe. Delicious breakfast. The hummingbird feeders are amazing as you can sit all day watching them with the mountain view behind it. Highly recommend.

The hotel was lovely, the pool area was the perfect chill out spot. And the deck by the restaurant was ideal to watch all the bird life. Also the whole team was lovely, but special mention to Diana, she was always so friendly and willing to help.

The lodgings are quite basic and the rooms could be updated. Although it makes sense when you discover it used to be a convent!

Very good breakfast on the balcony, with hummingbirds flitting around. Beautiful location with easy access to village. Walkable to other restaurants, bars and some great hiking in the area.

Everything was excellent, except that the last night I went to the restaurant for dinner and it was inexplicably closed, even though they had told me it was open every night. It was too late to go out anywhere. They did allow me to have a wine though. #wineandchocolatefordinner Also, the pool was not very clean. Mostly leaves but still ok.

Our room, a triple with a king-size and single, only had a mosquito net over the large bed, making the single somewhat unusable for our daughter. Can be noisy at night if nearby venues choose to play loud music. Not the hotel's fault, but a local power cut on our first day/night meant we had no air conditioning or fan overnight, leaving the room swelteringly hot. The hotel used their backup generator during the day but unfortunately had to turn it off overnight.

Great restaurant terrace overlooking the hills, with hummingbirds. Relaxing pool and terrace area, and comfortable bed. Nice traditional building with hammocks dotted around. Very peaceful during the day. Helpful and friendly staff, and very central location for accessing Minca's bars and restaurants. Private path down to the river for a secluded dip.
