Maria is a lovely host. It is clear that Maria takes pride in providing her guests with a comfortable stay. The accommodations were right in the heart of Albufeira with restaurants, bars, shops and the beach all just outside the front door. Maria was flexible with check-in and check-out and consistently checked on me and how my stay was going. If you're looking for less of a hotel experience and more of an authentic B&B type experience, Maria's guesthouse is the way to go.

The location was central and perfect, but with that comes noise. If you're a sensitive sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs with you, since the noise from the street can be loud especially during high season.

Large living room, good equipped bedrooms and the kitchen with all necessary dish. There are two bathrooms which is almost a must for the group of 6 ladies :-) Nice yard with opportunity to sit outside. It takes about 15 minutes to the city center and to the metro station to the airport. There was the city map available. which helped us with our discovering Porto. I recomend to type some short information where is the nearest supermarket and other useful practical information.

In the evening there was a bit cold. But we used for a while air conditioner in heat mode and it helped.

Tania was a kind and brilliant host, and the apartment had everything we needed. The location is just fantastic – moments from the beach and close to loads of great shops and restaurants. And the view from the balcony... 😍😍😍 If you need a simple but comfortable and well-located base for a beach holiday, you won't find much better than this.

Very good check in with the staff. They offered a breakfast box to go since our flight left before breakfast hours. The shuttle started at 4 am and since we were earlier we had to walk. Walking took 10 minutes. It was very easy. The staff provided 2 individual wines and cookies as gifts. There is a fridge in the room.

The bed was very firm. Way too firm. The toilet room is separated by a thin glass door that resembles a shower door with frosting. Not private whatsoever. The layout is a little bit odd.

Very nice apartment - clean, spacious, comfortable with central location, easy access and helpful staff. We left our luggage for a few hours after check-out.

There is almost no free space on the kitchen counter (a smaller cooking hob will free up more space). A small dish drainer would be helpful. Noisy street at night but not a big issue.

The owner was pretty rude and had me waiting outside in the dark for more than 30 minutes. In A pretty bad neighbourhood. The place is filthy, looks like a shack. They don't have storage for the luggage which is very inconvenient. Booking should remove it from the listing is awful.
