I like the place very much, but the staff and the charming, kind people, families solo travelers, children and seniors, our trip the authentic personal connection we all crave. The staff and people I count impressed me as among the very best in my travel experiences.

Our hostess, Monse, was delightful, ready with responses to all our questions, running the gamut from restaurants, tours and local events, all the while taking time for everyone. She managed to accommodate our late arrival and dealing with transportation problems that arose when our train tickets to Barcelona were cancelled at the last moment. Monse and the other staff addressed our needs from adaptors for our phone chargers and electronics, to laundry needs. In addition to seeing to our practical needs and comfort, she encouraged our efforts to communicate in Spanish, and made us feel really at home, taking time to engage in conversation with fascinating insights, humor and compassion. I will not forget her or our stay at Apartaments Químics.

The neigbours were hitting with the doors at night and it woke us few times up.

Girona is very nice town. There are multiple opportunities what to do. Walk in the old town or hike or bike in the hills. There was surprisingly a lot of bikers everywhere. The apartement was quite big and had nice window view.

The deposit is very high. The location is about 25 minute walk from bus/train station and to town centre - but we were aware of both those points.

Lovely welcome from Sara. Good size apartment and bathroom. Clean with everything we needed. Rooms are dark for sleeping and no noise. There is a washing machine in the complex that we didn’t use. Lifts in the building. Lounge looked out over a grassy area.

Practically nothing that we didn't like, but out of hours check-in could have been better. This did not affect us however, and the receptionist that dealt with our both our checking-in and checking-out could not have more pleasant, efficient and helpful.

The apartment was of generous size, finishes were of a high quality and it's location suited us particularly well being well within walking distance of both the old Town and the newer central areas. We enjoyed our visit to Girona, and our stay at Els Quimics enormously.

Noisy traffic at night. Weirdly unhelpful kitchen equipment e.g a huge saucepan big enough to cook pasta for 20 people but only 2 small cups, a full size oven but no ovenproof dishes, no salt pepper oil in the cupboard. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were awful! Surprised to be charged tourist tax and a hefty deposit (was refunded in 2 days)!

Nothing really. It is outside the city centre but the 25 min walks to town or the train station were straightforward and quite safe. As it is a walking city this wasn't really a problem as there were supermarkets, bars and bakeries on the way.

Was great just a little farther than we thought from town but easy flat walk.

Well equiped spacious apartment with good free laundry facilities. Very friendly receptionist willing to let us see the apartment and try the hardness of the beds before paying!

No tea kettle in the room, narrow and shaky beds plus the apartment is 25 min walk from the city centre.

Apartment had quite high standard and was located in modern, fancy building and nice neighborhood. Getting keys form the kiosk was rather easy (and super helpful since we were arriving in the middle of the night) plus we were given detailed instructions from the host.

Bed was not comfortable (it had a mattress cover but it was smaller than the mattress itself), very basically equipped kitchen (no kettle!!), poor soundproofing in the building (you could hear sounds from the corridor as well as other floors), check-in machine would not encode the other key so we had to get help with that

Very few drawbacks. Coffee maker does not come as standard in the kitchen (but available on request).

A well designed apartment that makes efficient use of space. Spacious bathroom with good shower. Effective heating. Pleasant view over adjacent parkland. Quiet location.

The matress was a bit uncomfortable and the trash didn`t have seperate cans to recycle inside the apartment

A big, clean and open room at a good position in the city. Like I wanted it had a kitchen fully equiped so i was able to cook my own food.

The beds are of good quality but they are hard. If you have problems with lower back pain, as I have, you might want to find another alternative. I suffered from a sore back for a couple of weeks after sleeping 12 nights at Els Quimics. Unfortunately for this reason I probably won't go back to this place even if it was situated very close to my family in the town and featured a great storage room for my expensive MTB. However I suspect that most people will find the beds to be OK. The kitchen is not well equipped - this could be improved with a very modest investment.

A special bonus of this appartment was access to a locked video surveilled bike storage room - really useful if you are one of the many bike fanatics that come to Girona to enjoy the great road- and mountain bike opportunities this area has to offer. In addition there was a very nice underground parking lot that could be rented at a reasonable extra fee.

The apartment was in a nice residential area. This was very suitable for us as it was 2 minutes from our relatives. It is very near bus stops so easy to go to "the old town". The supermarket and nice bars minutes away.
