How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Location was superb, quiet yet very convenient to shops, restaurants and local tourist attractions. Apartment was perfectly presented and had superb facilities. The apartment was beautifully decorated.

Communication in answering questions could be a little quicker.
The location is superb for visiting Girona’s old town and cathedral etc. The lift opening into the apartment is unique. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. The process of getting the keys is relatively straightforward. Free car parking just across the bridge.

1. The internet speed was ~5-10 Mbps. We didn't need to work so it didn't matter for us. It was good enough for simple browsing - we didn't try streaming or anything though 2. The sound-proofing isn't great. We didn't have neighbors the first night but the second night, we could hear them quite clearly
The apartment is simple but beautifully decorated - there's an exposed stone wall in the living room with modern updates in the kitchen/bathroom. The check-in was quick and easy through a lockbox. The elevator opens into the apartment which was a cool experience. The bed and couch were quite comfortable and the location was perfect to explore old town. A great place for a weekend getaway

There was nowhere to store clothes. We lived out of a suitcase for the stay. This was ok for a weekend but for a longer stay would be impractical. The WiFi signal was weak and was non existent in the bedroom. A signal booster in the bedroom would solve this The TV wasn't a smart TV. We ended up watching films on the laptop we'd brought with us. These days a smart TV is a basic requirement and could be easily resolved by adding a TV box.
The apartment was clean and well equipped. The location was excellent. Ideal for a weekend break to visit the city.

The view is as amazing as it looks. Location is great, it’s close to a lot of major sights and public transportation. The area clean. Would recommend! owner was very helpful! Check-in went smoothly! I with kids really enjoyed the apartment and had a fantastic stay in Girona . Thank you! Would definitely recommend this place!

The only think we didn't like was that we had only 100 litres to use at shower.. for 2 adults and 3 kids was a little bit hard... and even more that we didn't knew in the first night so after my big son played for like 15 minutes under hot water, all the rest we had a cold shower...
We loved that it was clean and we had everything we need ! Even washing machine , even washing Detergent and coffee , sugar everything! We loved the lift Taking us straight into apartment ! Very confy beds! We will definitely come again 💚

Marked down mainly for the construction - there is no sound proofing to the upstairs flat, we were on the bottom flat. The floors were a trowelled (polished) concrete which seems to be popular in Gerona now. It feels cool but upstairs we could hear the people walking around. I don't think they even had shoes on, not their fault. We could here toilet flushing and sink or shower. There were builders working from 9:00 a.m. every day and it was as if they were working in our flat it was that loud. Work has to be done but It would have been good to have known this before we booked. The WIFI seems to have been a little flaky. I work in IT so I knowhow to setup, our mobiles just switched from WIFI to roaming.
Location, cleanliness, facilities all as expected. A little small but very quaint place. We really liked the place.

Unfortunately the walls are so thin that you can hear every single neighbor in the whole building. Zero sound isolation!!! So if you wish for a relaxing & peaceful stay, this is not it. I hate to leave a not so good review, but I think the sound isolation is super important and should be mentioned in advance. Concrete floors everywhere, so don't forget your slippers! Also, it's comfortable for 2 people max, otherwise your living space will be too cluttered.
It's a cozy compact apartment in the old town of Girona.
