I would have given 10/10 but for the shower, which had a broken wall bracket. Maybe not a big issue for someone with short or little hair but when you have a lot, it's really tricky to hold the shower and wash with one hand... not ideal and quite tricky to wash properly. I don't really understand why this hasn't been fixed as it's such a small job and they obviously know about it (the shower was wrapped around the taps instead of being up on the wall). Another disappointment was the restaurant which wasn't open on the day of my arrival. That's just one of those things I guess, everyone has to have a day off. But I fortunately checked beforehand so went to a supermarket for food otherwise arriving late afternoon would have been frustrating to have to go out again to shop. In every other respect the apartment was fabulous and suited my purposes perfectly. The wi-fi had a super strong connection (in apt 9) which is an important factor for me as a solo traveller who relies on the internet. Little additions here and there, nice soaps, chocolate, water, coffee etc. were a nice touch. Plenty of parking directly outside the apartment combined with the remote location meant I didn't worry about the security of my motorbike at all - very important for me. I would definitely recommend El Cardeo.

As we are bike touring we are booking at the last minute. There wasn't much available in San Vicente that evening. However this was available and the room was a pleasant surprise. Two level suite with a basic kitchen and lounge downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The location is a bit out in the middle of nowhere (when biking, but not with a car) but the restaurant is really good and had really quick service. The beach is about 2.5km away and is amazing.

Having an apartment gave us lots of space. It was very clean and comfortable with little extra provided including a box of chocolates. The restaurant next door meant we didn't have to go any further to eat and the meal was excellent.

So noisy - walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbours are doing, and the dogs over the road were so so constantly barky Not much privacy or outdoor space - and if your neighbours are smokers sitting out the front it comes in the windows Bring earplugs!

Everything was fantastic

We have traveled through Spain for 1 1/2 weeks and this was by far the best place we have encountered. Exceptional hospitality, beautiful and clean apartment. Quiet and friendly town. We will stay longer here next time.

Kitchen was a bit awkward to work in as the ceiling slopes over main countertop, perhaps other units didn't have the same issue.

Staff responsive, great value, very quiet out in the country a bit, but still close to the town. Nice little touches by management were much appreciated, the cute presentation of toiletries, water and welcome coffee and chocolates. Very kind!

We booked the apartment through booking.com and specifically asked for a ground floor apartment as we are well into our seventies and find stairs difficult. To our disappointment the apartment was ground floor with stairs to the bedroom and bathroom, we had no option but to accept the apartment. Booking. com failed and this is the second time this has happened. The location was noisy and had little sleep some nights, donkeys in a near field had bells on their necks which rang as they ate grass and numerous dogs continuously barked.

The apartment was fine well equipped and the staff were excellent.
