Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GuatemalaRight over busy Navas street Had to walk a block with suitcases.
The evening receptionist was very kind in giving options of how to get around and what to see. Breakfast is good and abundant. Room was clean and fairly ample for this area of Granada. Same with bathroom. On a noisy street but the windows had soundproofing that worked great!

United KingdomFacilities are limited but we knew this on booking. No bar, cafe or lounge area. This was fine for couple of days but might not have been so good for a longer stay. Breakfast was unimaginative, would have appreciated more fresh fruit.
Very centrally placed for old town and restaurants. Excellent helpful staff on front desk, particularly Diana who greeted & orientated us. Hotel was very clean. It was great to have kettle & tea/coffee provided in room, useful too to have fridge.

PolandAmazing location, the room was small but very comfortable (and the price for a 3* hotel was unbelievable so it wasn't a problem for me). The Staff was extremely helpful and nice - they have a 5* service.

Great location. Staff in reception were brilliant and managed to get us a tour of the Alhambra when it was impossible to get them online or anywhere else. Thank you

United StatesThe room was cramped with very little surface on which to put items. There was a desk and a chair but it was not possible to use them together due to little space - so effectively there was no desk. Suggest a few hooks in the room, to hang a bag, etc.
The hotel staff are excellent - all very helpful. The location is quite central on a noisy street with popular tapas bars but the soundproof windows keep the outside noise out (though there is some inside noise from other guests.)

SpainNo tea and coffee available in room 203 as the electricity supply was not sufficient to accept the usage for a kettle . However a flask was offered if needed. Breakfast sadly was very limited for vegans and vegetarians and also most of the food was not very hot . There needs to be a lot more variety for those with limited food choices however I was pleased to see that oat milk was available for us . No choice of fruit juice orange or orange only.
As always the staff at this hotel make the stay worth while. The rooms were fine, nicely upgraded from our last visit ( but missing a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for make up and shaving ) a little small and we would have liked a balcony but hey we liked what we were given anyway . A little expensive through booking. com it would have been cheaper to have booked direct even though I am at genius 3 level so I was disappointed in the price we paid. think Comfy beds, house keeping very clean, reception staff wonderfully friendly and helpful .

United StatesThe main receptionist guy, he is the older man scheduled in the morning. We came in late for breakfast one day and forgot about the time. The breakfast closes at 10am. So this receptionist came into the dining and was standing in front of us staring angrily. So my companion got upset and confronted him. We know it's our fault that we stayed late and didn't notice the time and the staff needs to clean up but his action were very rude. We are a guest and we paid so he should not treat any guest like that. He should have just told us in a nice way that we need to leave as the dining is closing. That is all he need to do as a respect to any guest. I'm sure this is not the first time any guest stayed late for breakfast, it happens all the time. Other than this, the room and the hotel is great.
Very good location, it was at the main street where the Tapas bar are located. Room is sound proof so you cannot hear the noise outside when the balcony door is closed. Room is clean and decent size. Breakfast is good.

United StatesSafe has a key and the lobby staff have access to them which makes me wonder if it's really safe vs a personal code that can only be reset by a technician. Also, breakfast time is a bit later than other hotels (7:30-10) and on a day where I had to catch a bus at 8am, the breakfast area wasn't ready until 7:45. It is ridiculously loud if you ever open the windows due to the tapas/bars that line the street and the noise continues all days of the week through 2-3am.
Lovely staff that will hold luggage, provide a spare toothbrush and get you extra teabags/creamers for your room, wonderful breakfast, room, had a kettle and safe, walkable to multiple busses including the Alhambra bus, bus to train station and other nearby attractions such as Albacyn and Sacramonte. Walkable to the market, popular restaurants, trendy shops, tapas, and souvenir spots. The balcony windows are soundproof so when shut it's very peaceful.

United StatesThis was a very comfortable and nice room and exceptionally quiet given the very busy 'tapas' street that it is located on. The location was easily accessible and very convenient to walk or catach a bus/taxi to tourist sites. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very nice as well.
