Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeThe woman who was serving us at breakfast was a little grumpy. It didn't completely ruin our stay, but being the first person we saw in the morning, it was a little off-putting.
We had a great time, friendly staff at reception and restaurant (at dinner), nice, clean and big rooms. Great location with plenty of space for the kids to run around.

Quiet, peaceful and in the middle of nature. A lovely place to relax and go on long walks. The hotel is beautifully decorated while still authentic

SpainSince it's an old cottage, you can hear everything around you. However, people respect quiet hours and around 22h we didn't hear anyone in all the common areas.
The surroundings are amazing, the hotel is great, the staff was super friendly and helpful. One of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. We travelled with our dog and they were super nice with him, he even had his bed and a bowl ready for him when we arrived. Very recommended!

United StatesI really liked it, particularly after staying in a hotel near the train station that was hot and noisy
I highly recommend Mas Sant Marc. The hotel, which is an ample house built in the late 1800s for a family of financial means, is decorated with furniture and memorabilia from the era. It's warm, comfortable and truly one of a kind. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It's got horses. It's got tiny horses. It's got chickens and lovely grounds. It has loaner bikes and a pool, too! Puigcerda is a 5-minute drive. It's quiet and super chill. I was there early in the week, so dinner wasn't an option. But breakfast was tasty! I think you'll like it.

Both my partner and I have stayed at many "luxury" hotels around the world, and we agreed hand on heart that our stay at Mas San Marc was by far the best experience we have ever had. The quality v price is exceptional, the place is wonderful, well located, and the staff could not do enough to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Marta, Bruno and Lilia on reception who really cared for us. Housekeepers and restaurant staff were all very friendly and smiling. Just to note: We did not eat on site, so cannot mention the food in the restaurant. The decoration of the entire place is amazing, and every details has been carefully chosen, including the beautiful scent throughout the hotel. Our dog Luna was also very happy to explore the grounds, happy with the horses, ponies and chickens. One day we got the pleasure of meeting a charming and very helpful gentleman called Kiko, who turns out to be the owner of the hotel: Himself as delightful as the place and his employees., it took us a few days to decide that the best word for the Mas Sant Marc is simply "idyllic". We shall be back, A bot thank you again to all the team there. Celine, Merlyn & Luna.

IsraelBeautiful and unique, full of caricature. the staff was super friendly and helpful. It is a very old farm house, renovated in good taste, clean, comfortable and lacks nothing. We would like to thank our hosts for their efforts to make our stay pleasant and satisfying.

IsraelIn our opinion the breakfast was over-priced and we were a bit uncomfortable with the atmosphere (very hushed...). This was no problem, as there is a kitchen in the bungalow and we decided to have breakfast at "home".
We stayed in the bungalow in the garden. The bungalow is very small (more like a shed) and is separated from the main building. For us this was ideal and we loved the privacy and the horses around our garden.

United StatesI am allergic to fragrances and perfumes. The sheets and towels at Mas Sant Marc are laundered in heavily perfumed detergent. Scented detergents seem to be somewhat common throughout Spain, but for anyone sensitive to scents, this may be a factor to consider.
This is a beautiful small boutique hotel staffed by friendly, helpful people. The room we stayed in was very small, but comfortable, recently updated, and well-appointed. The common spaces are well designed, comfortable, and welcoming - making them great places to read, relax, or have a cup of tisane before bed. The restaurant serves delicious food and the dining areas are beautiful and relaxing. Though the hotel is only a few minutes from the center of Piugcerdà, we felt as if we were deep in the countryside, with the horses and chickens just outside the hotel gate and a burbling brook running through the property. This is a very special place.

United StatesWe didn't stay long enough!
A gem of a guesthouse/boutique hotel in a bucolic setting, with warm and friendly service. Rooms are unique and beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and gracious. The house itself is gorgeous. The grounds are lovely, with a little (slightly rough) golf course and a stable with horses (and cute ponies)--had we known, we would have arranged enough time to ride. The restaurant was excellent--food, service, atmosphere all great (trinxta with octopus--yum). Breakfast included an amazing and extremely generous array of pastries, cured meats, fruits, cheeses, in a beautiful patio/garden terrace setting.

The staff was amazing, Xavi was very friendly, informative and attentive, he provided good tips and suggestions about things to do in the area and in the hotel. I love the nature surrounding the hotel, the authenticity of the house and the common areas. So peaceful and quiet and and the same time cozy and friendly.

United StatesI loved pretty much everything! I don't eat very much meat, and the region (and hotel restaurant), although very good, did not have a ton of vegetarian options. Also - make sure tourists driving to the hotel know to take the highway tunnel with fees. The other road through the mountains is too dangerous for folks from out of town.
Amazing breakfast, friendly and informative staff, incredible location in a valley with views of the Pyrenees. I would go back in a second!

SpainThere were ponies on the premise of the land and we asked the man in charge of the ponies whether we can say hi to one of them. He gave us the permission straight away. Unfortunately, the pony attacked my daughter and bruised her. I was shocked and my daughter in pain and tears. I am only writing this to let other people know to be very cautious so that hopefully it does not happen again.
