The TV was a bit hard but that shouldn't really matter given the wonderful surroundings. The bathroom was very small but clean and sparkly .

Lovely location and accommodation. Towels and linens lovely, excellent bed.

    Really nothing!!!

Beautiful view and a lovely warm cottage named Buttercup . We slept like babies because its very quit and you could only hear the cows of the neighbours.Rachel and Rory are very kind and warm. There hospitality is more than we expected! They gave use very good tips where to eat or to visit. Our 10 years old son had also a great time. He could play football in the yard. The view from the bedrooms is spectaculair! So nice to wake up with that kind of view. Whitby is only half hour drive. In Lastingham is a great pub with very good food ( fresh prepared) . York is an hour drive ( we didn't had enough time sadly). hopefully we will be back in springtime!

Beautiful location. Clean, comfortable and well equipped property. The host was really friendly, gave us great travel tips and was really kind and helpful. Trips to Staithes and Saltburn were only half an hour in the car and were great places to visit. The local villages were lovely and the walk over to the church by the property and the view from the church yard were fantastic. The whole family had a lovely time.

What is not to like about this cottage? Lovely location, if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside, spotlessly clean cottage with everything you need, and excellent hosts. Ideal for hiking in the North Yorkshire moors.

There was nothing to dislike about our visit.

Everything about our visit was beyond our expectations, from the cottage, the area, but mostly the friendliness of Rachel and Rory. We would definitely recommend and visit again

Snowdrop cottage was perfect! Very clean, beautiful views and had everything you could need. The welcome gifts were lovely, just what was needed after a long drive. So, much though has gone into the designing and furnishings. We will definitely stay here again!

We were met by Rachel and Rory on arrival. They went through the basics with us and answered any questions we had. The cottage was exceptionally clean, with all a couple needed for a short break. They even provided tea, coffee, milk, cake, and biscuits for us. The location is perfect to travel the Yorkshire Moors and beyond.

Nothing! :) We would recommend these cottages to anyone wanting to explore the North York Moors.

Daisy cottage is perfect for a couple - it’s just the right size! The most comfortable bed, a small but cleverly designed bathroom, the kitchen has everything you need for self catering, there’s a lovely little lounge and dining space and use of a beautiful garden with views across the farmland and moorland; we saw so much wildlife just whist having our breakfast! We loved the welcome gift of Yorkshire Brack as well as tea, coffee and milk - we felt immediately at home. The cottage was spotless too. Rachel was so friendly and available if we needed her. She lent us some great books on the local area which was great as there are walks from the front door. There is good WiFi so we could watch films etc on our ipad and set up google maps routes from the door (phone signal isn’t great until you get higher up on the moors).

We could find no fault at all with the property or the hosts and albeit a little difficult to locate without a sat nav it was well worth the effort

The Cottage has spectacular views and was immaculately presented both in decor and facilities. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. The Cottage has been recently renovated and has a good range of useful equipment and is in a lovely quiet location.

I stayed in Bluebell Cottage, one of four self catering properties at Church House Farm in the absolutely gorgeous Danby Dale. It's spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and the owners were on hand next door if required. The attention to detail for my stay was spot on: from forewarning me about a temporary interruption in the TV signal in the region which was much appreciated, to the comprehensive application of Covid safe practices on arrival to the little touches like a the provision of a delicious Yorkshire Brack slice in the kitchen. Many thanks to Rachel and Rory for being such welcoming hosts.

We had a fabulous stay in the Blue Bell cottage, it was spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and lots of storage space wich you don't often see in holiday accommodations. Rachel and Rory are great and very welcoming hosts, they put heart and soul in running their business, so huge thank you for making our stay so great! And we really loved the area! Plenty countryside walks, pretty towns and villages to visit, lovely local pubs to eat and only 20 or so minutes from the seaside if you fancy a little paddle. What else can one wish for?
