The price is a little high for the quality of the room when breakfast isn't included. If I needed to stay near Derrby again at look more closely at other options but would still consider the farmhouse

The room was comfortable but decor was an unsuccessful attempt at "upscale, shabby chic"; the painted rough timber was a bit industrial. Added to this, the decor elsewhere in the room was tired and looked as if it had been "done on the cheap". Public areas were better but the restaurant was quite cool when we ate dinner at 7.30pm. The food was fine but we didn't have breakfast as it wasn't included in the rate.

There is damp wall and dirty carpet

The hotel is nice but unfortunately they had a gas leak so no hot water and no heating for the night but they gave us a free breakfast which we are happy with. Bed is comfort and the size of the room is reasonable.

Breakfast was poor, little choice from a fixed menu, tea or coffee was another few quid each on top, overall poor value for momney, especially considering the room had great tea and coffee making facilities.

Dinner was good, typical pub menu, nice room with great tea and coffee making facilities.

The pub and abr area had a great atmosphere, very large with plenty of room. Bedroom was very nice and well equiped, very comfotable bed, we slept very well. Breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately there was poor lighting in the bathroom. We were off to a wedding and I needed better lighting for putting on makeup.

Being an old farmhouse, partitions between rooms not sound proofed, transit noise and plumbing noises very disturbing and not really conducive to a full nights sleep.

Room was clean and the tea/coffee was excellent. The bed was so comfortable. Staff were very pleasant.

Really lovely little hotel. Lots of nice homely touches in the bedroom. Left me a little homemade cookie which was delicious and gave me a free upgrade also. Bar and restaurant both lovely. Friendly, helpful staff.

The shower was so tight to get in it if you were not of a small build....

Staff friendly from the moment we walked in. Nice welcoming and checked in fine. Although I wasn't told the name of the room, I was just advised of a room number, but all rooms were named. I had to go back downstairs to find out the name. But other than that, all was OK. Great staff, good food, and comfy bed. My only complaint with the room, was the shower in my room meant I couldn't even get in it ... the way the doors were, it was so tight. Unless are of a small build, be mindful when getting room old major.

When we first stayed at The Farmhouse breakfast was included in the room rate. The rate appears to have stayed the same but breakfast has been removed.

We had a lovely dinner at The Farmhouse and a very good nights sleep.

Only sight criticism was the traffic noise from the main road but it didn’t detract from the quality or disturb sleep.

The tv that was facing our bed did not work just said no signal we asked a staff member to have a look whilst we were out eating food but when we got back it was still the not working it didn’t damper our evening just would of been nice.

We loved everything about the property was perfect for we were looking for

Small room. No hot water upon arrival and until afternoon of 2nd day - hotel staff did as much as possible to rectify this for us but was a great impact to our stay
