The only thing they didn't like was the waffles at the pub. Not made fresh so a little disappointed. Otherwise a great stay!

This was a stop-over for the Aussie in-laws on their way from Cornwall to Pembrokeshire. They said it was a great little one night stay with everything you need nearby. Room was good value and Ben at the pub was very helpful with local tips.

Exactly what I expected, nothing to dislike.

Great location for getting to Celtic Manor/ICC. Went with 12 others before the start of our Golf trip, recommend to stay if you're looking for a cheap night when travelling down to Celtic Manor.

Only thing lacking wall hook for coat. No bath mat.

Good size room, quiet location although on a main road. Dog friendly although only 3 rooms are actually dog friendly out of 30 something rooms.

Bathroom could have done with a little bit of paint but all facilities worked perfectly fine. Bed was a bit firm for me but it didn't impact my sleep.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Price was great and very close to the M4 for easy travelling. Had a staff member available 24hr

Food was okay. Breakfast was good. Rooms a bit tired looking although was clean. Was okay for the price, but garden centre across the road from premises was tempting me to spend lots of money. (Love my garden).

Location good for ICC which we attended. Pub attached to it which served food, also a garage and shop next door. Tea, coffee and kettle in room. Also iron. Good value accommodation.

Room itself is showing signs of age, piece of skirting was missing, signs of rising damp and tiling has been repaired.

Breakfast was fine with a reasonable selection of food and drinks.

Front facing room a bit noisy with road noise if the window is open.

Great location for Newport. Easy drive, just off M4 junction. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Plenty hot water for bath or shower. Bed comfortable. Its on quite a busy road, so road noise can be a problem if you're in a room facing the road, and want the window open. The rooms at the back look out onto car park and are much quieter. Also good to have a bar/hungry horse restaurant attached. There's also a Garage +/spar shop next door.

The lumpy pillows were the only significant problem.

I was attending a conference at the ICC and planned to cycle there each day. The hotel were happy for me to keep my bike in my room so it was secure and arranged for me to have a ground floor room near the door to make that easier to achieve. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food at the Hungry Horse was cheap and tasty. The bed was comfortable and the heating was excellent!

The room was a little dark, neither bedside lamps worked or the usb charging. The room was a little warm but sorted by opening the window. Mattress is on the very firm side as are pillows but not a negative.

Check in was very simple and all explained. Check out even quicker. Staff were very helpful and kind.
