The Nightel now uses the Hampton parking and breakfast arrangements (an extra £10). In the past, they had their own parking and breakfast restaurant. This change is not an improvement for the customer. The free high-speed wifi reminded me of the bad old days of hotel wifi. I probably would have had to go back to reception and sit there to get a decent signal. I'm sure some rooms may be OK but mine was too far from the router to be reliable - so don't count on the wifi working. Although free parking was included in the booking, the staff had to be reminded of this and then had to phone through my car reg to the staff at the Hampton to book me in. Watch out for this if arriving by car.

There are two options at Humberside Airport - the Hampton by Hilton and the Nightel. The Nightel was around half the price of the Hampton and the booking.com reservation included free parking while the Hampton needs to be booked on the Hilton website and parking costs £10 per night. The staff at the Nightel were very flexible as it was a last minute booking and I wasn't sure that I would have a seat on the plane as I was standby until around 21:00 for a 21:30 flight. The booking was kept flexible and I could have cancelled right up to the last minute.

The room could have been cleaner. The chair had fluff and crumbs on it and the kettle was full of nasty-looking scale residue. Actually the corridor could have been aired as both corridor and my room had a very strong male smell. The pillows ditto although pillow cases and duvet cover were very fresh and clean. I parked inadvertently in a public paying carpark as the sign for the hotel carpark was only visible when right in front of your nose. However, the staff explained to me how to get the parking fee annulled.

I didn't have breakfast. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Television service good. Practical as near to the airport terminal. Bathroom adequate and clean, complimentary soap, body wash etc.

Overpriced car park . Was looking to stay for a week but refuse to pay £10 per night. Absolute rip off. Also I found it really odd that the man on reception let himself into my bedroom while I was asleep just to give me a card about not smoking. Kept me awake for two hours after! Bad move!

Parking situation was poor. I drove up and parked outside the hotel reception. The receptionist told me I was best to move my car because it would cost me £40 to leave it there for the night ! He advised me to park in there sister hotels car park and register my registration with reception there. There receptionist pointed me at a machine where I had to pay £10 for the night. I had assumed I’d be able to park for free, as I do at many other hotels.

I was charged a sum of £10 for parking which was not indicated or informed at the time I made the booking via 'Booking.Com' . May be I would have looked for another place if I had known the extra cost of £10 on top of the room rate of £47/night.
