Hotel does not have a reception desk. We wondered around quite some time trying to find somebody and somewhere to check in.

The hotel looks newby refurbished. Room was lovely, quiet and bed comfortable. Breakfast was very good apart from lack of scrambled eggs and waiter informing us they were in the oven and he had no idea when they would be ready. They arrived after we left the dining room.

The price of drinks

Have stayed at the Ripon Inn before, and would stay there again. It is situated perfectly for the city centre. It is immaculately clean, staff really friendly, sitting on the huge patio is a lovely peaceful place to sit and chat. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. I would not stay anywhere else when I visit Ripon.

There was no shelf in the bathroom, that was the only down side to the whole stay.

Breakfast choice was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive. We also had dinner in the restaurant and that was very good with a varied choice on the menu.

Only room size. Everything else was great

Lovely garden view. Fabulous large comfy bed and good hospitality tray. Thought the room size a little small but bathroom very good size and great shower. The hotel gave us a ground floor room as requested.

It would have been nice to have more veggie options/swaps on the menu - i.e. veggie sausages to have with the toad and the hole instead and a veggie burger option instead of a beef burger. Breakfast was good however, the mushrooms and tomatoes didn't have much taste, the quality of the food produce could have been a bit better for this and more flavoursome.

The room was great, comfortable and spacious, the bed was cosy! I enjoyed the views whilst eating dinner, the evening meal I had was nice and the decor of the hotel was really well done.

For 3 star accommodation it was exceptional. I had a disability accessible room. There was lots of room to accommodate my wheelchair. The disability bathroom was the best I've ever used. Both the dinner and breakfast were lovely. Extremely good value for money. 10/10!

There wasn’t really anything much to complain about. If I had to be picky I would say slight more attention to finer detail on cleaning as I found a tablet on the floor of our room considering I had a child with me and it is also a pet friendly hotel. The tv would have been good to have smart tv but that’s about all I could say anything bad.

The decor inside and out was very beautifully done. Food was sensational. Staff were all very friendly. Rooms were spacious. Having a fan was a winner for us

Everything! The hotel was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with beautiful gardens and with only a 5 minute walk to town was a perfect location for a visit to Ripon and Fountains Abbey.

Some of the knowledge of the bar staff was limited, and the portions of some of the game dishes were very small . The menu showed a real diversity of foods, but portions were small for the money.

Felt a little corporate. The dinner food was good, but not great.

Breakfast was excellent. Great selection.Sunday lunch was very tasty too. 5 min walk into town. Great location in lovely grounds but close to town.

Unfortunately....the fact that the lift was out of order. My friend has a heart condition and so a room allocated on the top floor was unfortunate. However the hotel staff reallocated us to the first floor for which we were grateful.

Everything....The recent refurbishment is very tasteful. I particularly liked the photographs of Ripon through the ages.

It's not possible to reserve a disabled parking place. We were warned about this, but it would stop me booking again. The car park was full when we got there, apart from a motorbike space, which we fitted into!

The hotel is run for maximum efficiency: pre check-in; to order lunch or evening meals, you go to the bar with your table number; breakfast is self-service.
