Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHave stayed here before, really like the design and the vibe in this hotel. Super convenient for Paddington and such a relaxing stay. I love the library room and other little thoughtful touches. I find the rooms cosy and comfy. Bathrooms are bijou, but that is London! Free tap and sparkling water in the hallways, always nice.

United KingdomWe needed a few more electric sockets and a mirror where you would dry your hair would also be good.
The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. We liked the pine scented toiletries. Great shower! I wish we had had more time to try out the facilities on offer. The location also suited us as it was just a short walk from Paddington station.

United StatesThe bed was way too high to even get into ! I'm 5" but elderly. Much good-natured attempts to solve this issue. In the end, a thick secondary pad was removed from the bed, which lowered it by almost 2 inches. Together with a cushion on the floor I was able to crawl aboard ! The problem is, that the rooms are fairly small and the mattresses are on top of wooden platforms with side spaces to put luggage. Good idea for storage but makes for a very high bed. The safe was in a cabinet at floor level which made it impossible to use. The handicap bathroom (I hadn't booked this} was really well designed but there was no shelf for personal items, nor any hooks to hang bathrobes etc. Much as I really loved this hotel, the bed height issue remains a problem, so sadly I would not be able to book here again, but taller, or more agile travelers should definitely consider this hotel.
Delightful staff, especially at the front desk, with whom I chatted during my 5 night stay. A bright (de luxe double) room on the ground {American 1st} floor with 2 large windows. The tranquility of the hotel. Sofas and relaxation spots. Fresh fruit for the taking. Lovely peaceful library. Such a calm place. Clean and simple "Scandi" design. Outside area with tables, chairs and umbrellas. The restaurant (just breakfast and a simple lunch) design and staff. The location on a wide, tree lined avenue with close proximity to Paddington Station. Great Malaysian restaurant just a block away, Satay House. A pristine laundromat 5 minutes walk away.

United KingdomAsked for a low floor which we were given. Unfortunately it was in the basement with a skylight roof, which would have been great if other rooms weren't overlooking it. Skylight is a lovely idea but we had to keep the cover over it for privacy. As it was only a base and we were out all day it was adequate for what we needed.
Location was great, very close to Hyde Park, excellent public transport links. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

CroatiaThe only thing that I didn’t like was that the coffee was terrible. Personally, I feel like it’s a bit unfair to only have filter coffee as a free option for those of us who paid for breakfast. All of the other coffees were an extra charge.
The room looked excatly like the pictures. The staff was very friendly. We arrived to London a couple of hours before we were supposed to check in and they allowed us to do an early check in which saved us so much time in the end.

PolandSize of the room. It could be acceptable for singles but when traveling as a couple and having any extra language apart from your backpack you really lack space. However I am positively impressed with the creativity of some features like storages which increased our comfort.

This was my second time staying in this hotel. Staff are great, room was really comfortable with some lovely design touches. I really love the fact that it is B Corp and it's also close to Paddington station. There are in-room tea & coffee facilities as well as a water station on every floor

GermanyThe windows are not well isolated and there is a chance that you can hear the noise from outside.
I totally liked the concept and style of the hotel and also how helpful and friendly everyone was. The location is also a big plus: you can walk to and through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park to the Buckingham Palace - in under an hour. Good is also the distance to Paddington Station, not only when travelling by plane. The rooms are not the biggest, but super comfortable and with intelligent possibilities to store luggage. Also, there are lots of possibilities to charge your devices with both USB and power outlets.

United KingdomWith our room being compact it did get quite warm & the air conditioning unit was situated directly above the bed. This meant we had to ensure the temperature was right before settling down to sleep for the night.
The hotel is in a good location, just far away enough from the main roads to be quiet, but close enough for you to have everything in walking distance. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. Rooms were very clean & bijoux.
