Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly one slight criticism could be price of the drinks.
Had the small double at the back of the Inn. It was quiet comfortable bed. A small shower compartment but fine for us. The breakfast was a good portion. The restaurant busy for breakfast at 8am the waitresses where helpful and pleasant. A little wait for cooked breakfast but that was good as freshly prepared. We did the b and b evening meal. Good value for money. Would go back again. Spar shop opposite very well stocked. Very much caters for the walkers Beer garden, half enclosed seating and then seating in conservatory food can be eaten at all areas. .

United KingdomWe stayed at the Drymen Inn whilst walking the West Highland Way. It was a prefect stop for us. The staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The food was delicious too.

United KingdomFelt very transactory - just part of the WHW sausage factory!
Good value with DBB but wouldn't rush to stay again. Staff were a mixed bag. Most were friendly but one made you feel like you were a pain, getting in the way, when there was no easy way to get to the bar, and being very curt if you tried to engage. Odd experiance - felt much more welcome elsewhere.

United KingdomOnly a very minor point… We stayed in room 3. It had a huge bed (which was actually too big for the room and made it very tight). It wasn’t very comfortable. The springs boinged during the night and it squeaked every time you moved. Otherwise a brilliant stay, our second visit and we’d definitely return
Great location in the lovely little village of Drymen with 2 other pubs, a bakery/coffee shop and a spar. A great stop on the way up to Scotland very close to Loch Lomond. In the West Highland Way and Rob Roy walking routes. We had dinner, bed and breakfast for £126, amazing value. The food was great with big portions. The staff are friendly and they welcome dogs for £10 each.

United KingdomMy room was a small double and fine for one person but it was very compact without even a chair to put stuff on. Not a problem for one night, though.
Excellent location for the West Highland Way. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good, hearty food in the bar.

United KingdomThe room was a bit tight for space, too small to have a kingsize bed in it. My husband and I kept hitting our legs off the metal frame of the bed.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and we were made to feel at home.

United KingdomOur room was on the small side so not much room to manoeuvre around the bed and put your belongings etc.
Fantastic location in the heart of the quaint village of Drymen. Cosy and attractive bar and restaurant. We received a very warm welcome from the staff and they all looked after us extremely well. The food is fantastic, we throughly enjoyed our evening meals and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The room was lovely and warm and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomFood was really spicy I got the chicken dish full of jalapeños I couldn't eat it first bite my mouth was on fire. And it was recommended. By staff . The girl noticed I didn't eat it and boxed it up cause I didn't want to complain as me and my partner had a great night and it was his birthday but it went in the bin.
Staff are really nice rooms small but value for money. There was a delivery to the shop across the Rd at 6am it was so noisy .

United KingdomThe restaurant was closed on the evening I was there, though this wasn't a problem, as I'd already had a large lunch. Breakfast wasn't until 9, but this too wasn't a problem, as the rain cleared up just as I finished breakfast.
Small room in pub in centre of village. Clean, comfortable, with good wifi. Good breakfast included (I had salmon). Small supermarket opposite.

United KingdomThe shower was not great. There was hardly any power behind the water flow and the sliding door was hard to move. As said previously, the food was very good but, to be honest, the portions were gigantic. Sadly this can be as off putting as poor food. I suppose it is better than too small a portion but it really did not suit us.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had dinner at the Hotel and the food was extremely good and served to us by a very friendly member of staff. Breakfast in the morning was also very good and again served by our Hostess who was extremely friendly and cheerful.
