Stayed in a single room and despite the small size of the room it had everything I needed. And it was very smartly designed (especially the furniture) so that it felt much bigger. Bathroom and especially shower were exceptional and something I hadn't expected for such a small room. All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

Room was a nice size although a little tired. The room was clean a little hot, window was not able to be opened and a little grubby. Good shower. Access to rooms could do with a fresh lick of paint and carpet cleaning, so easily rectified.

After a long week trip this was a overnight stop on the way home. Location was 2 mins off the motorway which was great. Lots of eateries and takeaways within a few mins walk. Parking was on site and free.

The bathroom, whilst being very clean, had an intermittent odour coming from the toilet. I guess in such an old building the plumbing is tricky to access to update. It didn't detract from a lovely stay, just kept bathroom door shut

Perfect for our needs. Pet friendly in a clean, comfortable room. Lovely, characterful old building. Nice country village location, with walks nearby for the dogs As we were leaving very early next morning for a dog show, we had a breakfast to go bag each left outside our door...Nice touch!

on side of main thoroughfare, no grass available for dogs to toilet on but we managed! Could have done with instant coffee in room rather than single mug sized cafetiére.

Lovely quaint old inn, stairs to rooms were just inside front door so easy to get our dogs in and out. Friendly staff. clean and comfortable, and very welcoming of dogs in all areas.

Pre-Booked Dinner before arrival and was told that normal menu and Valentine’s menu would be available. Was told on arrival for dinner that only the Valentine’s Dinner was available. Apparently, both menu’s were available to residents and staff mistook us for visitors.

Breakfast was quite disappointing, we knew it was Continental, but the food available was limited and the jams and marmalade were poor quality. No way to warm croissant. Room was cramped, no wardrobe, poor lighting, only 1 bedside light/table . Kettle point too close to clothes area. No biscuits. NB Info in room was out of date too.

Location good, staff friendly and helpful. Evening meal excellent, although menu wasn’t inspiring.
