Rooms could do with a bit of a make over, wallpaper is peeling off in bits and it could do with a revamp, the rooms are small which we knew when booking so that didn’t faze us, so there is a lack of storage space. Windows need repairing they are a bit rickety could possibly be unsafe with small children.

The hotel is a 1 minute walk from Paddington station, We always stay in Norfolk Square where the hotel is based, but this was our first time at this particular hotel. The staff there are lovely and will help you with whatever you need, we were early for check in and they held our case for us to go out and come back later. They also held it on our last day for us to pick up before heading to the station. Check in is quick and if you’re not fussed about facilities and want something cheap then you can’t fault this hotel. The bathroom whilst small was clean and tidy and had plenty of hot water. There was a small fridge and a fan also in the room which was great.

We had basement room for 5 people. There was some noise from underground metro, but during night the frequency reduced. Obviously, there is nothing owners can do about it. So, we had another experience to remember.

The location is very good. Short walking distance from Paddington train station. Very clean and comfortable beds. Fantastic.

The room was very small so with my luggage it was more than a bit of a squeeze.

Quick and efficient check in and out. The room was clean. The location for all facilities (Public transport, eating and drinking, shopping) was excellent. A basic breakfast brought to the room was handy.

Really good value for money. Myself and 3 friends travelled to London for the Galway match and stayed 2 nights. We weren’t fussy about facilities as we knew we wouldn’t be spending much time in the accommodation over the weekend. Room was small but it was well kitted out with a kettle, fridge etc. Staff were really helpful, we arrived before check in time so they let us get ready to go to the match in another room and let us leave our bags at reception while we were gone and again after we checked out on our last day. Location was only a 5 min walk from Piccadilly station. Really good value for how little we paid for the 2 nights, would really recommend if you’re not fussy about facilities and just need a great location for a good price.

You have to be warned that the Underground rumbles beneath you during the day, but that's part of the charm. It's completely quiet during the night, which is what matters. The 'breakfast' was the sort you'd get at a youth hostel in the 70s, so that might be a surprise to the soy-latte-&-gluten-free-biscuit set, but again, welcome to reality. Absolutely fine and for me, downright nostalgic.

This is not a four-star hotel. You'd be an idiot to think so. However my wife and I, both in our sixties, remember a time when people didn't expect chocolate mints on their pillows. It's a two-minute walk from Paddington on a quiet street, and yes it's a bit shabby but it's clean, tidy, and the staff are lovely. Plus it's cheap. For London, very.

The window view showed on the advert was definitely not what we had in the basement of the building. It looked into the pipes & rubbish of other surrounding buildings. 3 double beds in 1 room???. The 'continental breakfast' was served in a plastic basket in a paper bag. Definitely did not live up to what was advertised.

Close to the station Sheets & towles were clean.

Shower valve system should be replaced with a modern one since it took me a couple of minutes to get the right water temperature. Beds a bit uncomfortable.

Very good location, few minutes away from underground tube station and some restaurants nearby. Very helpful staff who immediately changed electrical kettle which was faulty and TV fixed right away.
