Village and surrounding area aren’t particularly nice, more of a place to stop on your way somewhere. Wifi was bad.

Friendly, welcoming staff that gave the place a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Room seemed recently done up with a comfy bed. The main road goes round the other side of the loch so it was very peaceful sitting out front.

It was easy to find and the staff were very friendly. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. It is a pet friendly hotel so even though we stayed in a part of the hotel that accommodated dogs it smelled clean and fresh. Breakfast was amazing, set us up nicely for the day. A great hotel to stay in.

- Position - looking over Loch Long - Staff - cheerful, friendly and helpful - Variety of drinking/eating areas - Amazing food at amazing prices - both dinner and breakfast. Best ever Eggs Benedict! And my husband is fussy :) - Rooms - very good: clean and roomy. Definitely recommend!!!

We had room no 1, and on the outer wall of that room is the kitchen air ventilation of a size and noise which you normally associate to a Elon Musk rocket. Went off by 11h30; only then could we hear the music from the pub in our bed. :-) Air vent again on for breakfast 7h ... so beware of room 1. Other wise it would have been a 10/10 stay.

Room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent. Hotel is in a beautiful setting across the road from the Loch. Traditional building with beautiful decor. Staff were very helpful and attentive.

Food at dinner was disappointing. Several items seemed to be re-heated or not made from scratch, and the food was generally poorly seasoned and bland. The sticky toffee pudding in particular was very poor. Helensburgh (30 minutes away) has much better options.

The room was generously proportioned, very light and airy, had modern furnishings, and was quiet and extremely comfortable. The bathroom in particular was excellent.

The Village Inn was warm and very welcoming. Wonderful loch views and walks. The staff were friendly, helpful and fun. The decor was very comfortable with a lovely Scottish contemporary style. The room was very comfortable. Breakfasts were fantastic and the dinner (in the pub part - as we had a dog) was very good, although a little expensive. The bar had a wonderful atmosphere and we had a fun evening with some locals and hotel guests!
