the room on the top without walls was incredible. we slept fantastic. if you like "outdoor" sleeping this is for sure something for you! staff friendly and very helpful. close to the beach. pool was very clean.

Somewhere to hang my clothes would have been nice, but I made do with using the curtain rail. Also the lane outside was very dark. But I still felt safe.

I love this little hideaway place really close to the best sunsets on the island. Close to Mamas Pizza, which is the tastiest food I found. Irfan was very helpful teaching me some Indonesian words. He cooks a super pancake! The pool was lovely. WiFi worked well. I’ll definitely come back to stay again.

Such an absolutely experience!!!!I've stayed in the bungalow on the top, very nice and fresh during the night time. Quiet place and beautiful views to the swimming pool. The owner wad adorable and breakfast in the morning just yummy 😋 thank you very much for your kindness

The noise from the air conditioning machines of other people’s rooms.

I absolutely loved my open, top floor studio with attached bathroom. All I needed was a fan and mosquito net and it was perfect. No AC needed. I’m shocked by everyone who thinks they need AC when they actually don’t. All was perfect until people moved in next-door and I heard the drone of their AC machine going 24/7 and it spoiled the whole experience for me. What happened to the world? Does no one care about climate change? There is a lovely breeze. If you open your windows you don’t need AC. Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. There is a safety deposit box for your money, etc.

There are too big gaps in the door so mosquitos will get into your room the showerhead was not maintained so the flow was really bad

Unfortunately you hear a lot of noises coming from the beach bars in the evening until midnight. Had to sleep with earplugs. The bungalows are also located in a small street and it’s very dark by night and it feel a little bit creepy.

Very friendly staff and the bungalows are very near to the best beaches in Gili air. Comfortable bed, outdoor shower and a Moskito net. Fridge in the bungalows as well. Nice small pool.

If we had to pick something, all we can say is that because the room isn’t completely sealed, the air con doesn’t work as well as we have had in other places. That being said, we weren’t too hot and just left it ok when we went out.

We absolutely loved the Elephant house and it’s quaint little bungalows. The staff were super friendly and this place demonstrates well the relaxed atmosphere of Gili Air as a whole. The pool was great and overall this place has a safe and friendly vibe. Should we ever come back to Gili Air, this is where we will be staying!

If you are constantly thirsty, there’s one tiny thing to note: the staff gladly refills your bottle in their kitchen for 5k, which we were happy to pay. But since you need their help to refill it, after a certain time in the night you won’t be able to get a refill. After one night we were aware of this though and tried to refill it before - so this is no real problem at all

We loved our stay so much, we decided to extend. The staff is exceptionally friendly and so helpful! The breakfast was the best free breakfast I have had in all my trips to Indo. Not only do you get to choose between an amazing omelette, panini or banana pancake, it is served with either a fruit salat or a tasty fresh smoothie and a coffee. The bungalows as well as the pool are beautiful. The outside area is serene and kept incredibly clean. For 50k you can rent bikes directly at the property. Would 100% recommend staying here!

It’s kind of down a dark path. Not the hotels issue, but someone should put some lighting there. As a solo female traveler it was just a bit creepy, not a huge deal though

I cannot fault the place it’s perfect

The room, gardens and staff are simply wonderful. Lovely simple yet slightly bohemian decor, very comfortable bed, good A/C, great wifi. The property and gardens are very well maintained by the amazingly kind and conscientious staff Jahab and Ijah. The staff are delighted to do everything they can to ensure you have the perfect stay. The breakfasts are delicious and the amazing staff can also prepare an incredible home cooked evening meal for you upon request. The evening meal is a must as it’s far better than any of the Indonesian food restaurants on the island, and great value too. The location is great for access to the port, yet on a tranquil side street so expect very little disturbance during your tranquil stay here. The local mosque isn’t too loud from this location. This place is a real hidden island treasure and it would be a pleasure to stay here again when next on the island. Massive thanks to Jahab and Ijah for being the most perfect hosts.

I have no complaints.

This is a fantastic little resort - I love that it is small and low key, not flashy but comfortable and has everything you need. It's a very short walk to a great white sand with beach with shade & amazing mountain and sunset views but nice and quiet, down a little track. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of storage in the rooms, the pool is really great and the garden beautiful and peaceful. I stayed for 2 weeks and tried both the air conditioned bungalows and the open air room. Both had their advantages. I loved the open air room the most but it is a bit noisier because there are no walls :) but the dappled light, great views, space and elemental feel were unbeatable. If you prefer quieter, air con or are bothered by a few bugs (there weren't many at all but this is the tropics!) take the bungalows. The breakfast was generous and delicious (I enjoyed the omelette, fruit salad & Lombok coffee). I appreciated the option to refill water bottles - reducing plastic waste. Great to have laundry done on site. I also felt it was really great value. But most of all I was grateful for the kindness of the staff - Jahab and Ijah are sweet, charming, humble and hardworking. I always felt safe and cared for.
