The rooms are a bit old and run down, it seems like they are undergoing a renovation which is needed, if that turns out will it will be a major upgrade

They didn't warn us about an expensive charge to sit in the restaurant and only have drinks, even when we asked specifically if we could just go in there for cokes

Rooms were as expected but not exceptional. They were however very clean and the building itself is beautiful.

Staff were excellent. Very helpful and respectful. Location was perfect for taking myself on some walking tours around a really interesting part of Mumbai. The gateway is very walkable from there.

Very dated rooms, no hot water except in the morning, untrained front office staff, housekeeping and laundry service all poor.

Location is fabulous so is the room service however this is also limited by kitchen timings

Courtyard inside is lot of dust and smell of paint..not recommend if have dust allergy or paint allergy as per now..may be it's because of ongoing work...room are very clean though

Our room was old and building work was going on around us as they refurb. This didn’t disturb us though.

Right next to the dock to board the boat. Good central place and nice to walk about and see things. Old building with colonial history.

Staff at check in were pretty cold, we were asked by reception and housekeeping if we were checking out the evening before check out which was very odd, but otherwise a pleasant experience

There is nothing we didn't like.

The hotel is located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Many tourist destinations can be reached either on foot or by tuktuk. The staff is very helpful and gives good information.

If you have any inconsiderate neighbors (loud tv and door slamming) it may be kind of noisy. Take earplugs. It's a hotel thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

We loved the location and the spacious rooms, the people were nice and kind. I DO NOT GET THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Yes the rooms need updating, that's what they're doing. They are clean, the most important thing. This is a good quality for the price in Bombay!

I only stayed here for one night before transferring to another hotel to meet with a group. The hotel is an old historic building and some of the light switches were hard to locate. If the hotel is renovated in the future, the owner should ensure consistency with the placement of the light switches.

The staff here was very kind and welcoming. I arrived early in the morning on a redeye flight and the staff worked to find an open room for me, but it took a few hours. They were apologetic and helped me get in to a room as soon as it was possible.

Freezing températures in restaurant Breakfast buffet : chimical fruit juice, poor choice of pastries, same hot food every day....

Nice charming hotel in quiet area. (Wich is not easy to find in Mumbai...) Rénovations are complited. Some ajustements have to be done in order to make this place very nice 3 stars one. Buffet breakfast can realy be improved. AC in restaurant doesn't have to freez ... Nice staff

In need of some upgrading as other reviews mention but nothing that was a deal breaker for us.

Excellent value for money compared to other hotels, nice quiet area and convenient for train station and other tourist sites. The hotel itself is an incredible building, and bear with the management as they are upgrading it now. Yes the air con units are old and a little loud, but main thing for us was that it was clean and safe. Great staff too.

The condition of the room was poor, peeling paint in many places, and generally the non reception areas require proper update and maintenance.

- Upkeep of the rooms: While the rooms are big and spacious, the upkeep of the rooms is average. We had to ask to change bedsheets and deep clean the room after our arrival. - Maintenance: A chair in the room broke when I tried to sit on it. - The bed was big, but the mattresses need changing since they seemed worn out

- Location is top notch, you're walking distance from the CSMT station and in a top notch area of South Mumbai - Beautiful heritage building - Kind and attentive staff responding promptly to requests (we had a few problems, and the staff did their best to resolve them)

This is an old hotel. While appreciating the value of the classic colonial face of it the hotel needs serious improvement to rooms. The restaurant was very expensive compared to the options they had.

The hotel is so close to a main railway station and Cricket Stadium. The neighborhood was calm compared to other streets around which were so much crowded.
