Lovely hotel on the banks of the lake, we spent a few nights in the hotel and rented one of the house boats at the hotel for 4 nights. A nice mix for a weeks holiday.

Just a few things: a broken chair at the pool that should be removed, bird droppings on poolside should be scrubbed off. Hotel advertises having a spa but we never saw it. Room where we had yoga was very hot; no AC.

It was beautiful and mostly well- maintained. Staff were polite and attentive . Restaurant was good. Room with lakeside view was great! Room had fridge as well

The dosa station was leanly staffed. The same chef made the dosas and coffee, so we waited in line for a long time. You should put one person incharge of the dosa station, and another one to be made incharge of the coffee station. I had to wait a long time for both.

Nice selection to choose from. I liked all the South Indian foods. The sausages looked weird to my son.

Our room was a little far away from everything else, and a little dark, so we had to keep the lights on ever during the day. Not a big problem though, considering all the good things.

The resort is Amazon. Peaceful and beautifully located with lake view from almost everywhere. The staff were so nice and friendly. We did the Ayurveda massage and came out refreshed. Loved every moment there

The staff weren’t the most helpful and I had to ask a lot of basic questions. I found the prices of taxis and activities they have on offer very pricey and not helpful when suggesting alternatives or information. The idea of an outdoor bathroom in theory sounds luxury but not very practical when it came down to it especially with the mosquitos in the evening.

Right next to the lake with beautiful views, a lovely pool and traditional feel villas/ rooms. You’re very much in nature and away from the city. You are quite far from Alleppey itself but you can ask the hotel to call a tuk tuk to take you there for ~100 INR or less.

We stayed in 4 hotels all over Kerala and at this one the staff appeared disinterested on the whole. We asked for coffees on arrival after a 6 hr journey to the hotel. We were told you can order that yourselves from your room. Zero charm. No warm welcome. This was in stark contrast to the other hotels whose welcome was so kind and caring. The coolness of the staffs attitude was also apparent in the restaurant. A lovely room and food was fine. But staff were mostly unfriendly. Even a smile would have been welcome.

It’s a stunning hotel , lovely pool, so many flowers and just greenery everywhere. Loved the outdoor bathroom. Lace mosquito nets over the beds were much appreciated. Just 4 kilometres from Alleppey town which was less than 200 rupees in a tuc tuc to get to. Local village on the doorstep.

The staff was helpful but undertrained at times to attend to queries and respond in a timely fashion. We had to follow up on all our requests with the front desk. There also seemed to be preferential treatment towards more of the international visitors. The front desk staff definitely needs more people-training. Apart from that, the hotel staff across other parts of the property were fantastic and incredibly helpful.

Absolutely stunning property, incredibly well maintained and truly shines out as a heritage property. The location of this property is the key to enjoying a stay at Alleppey. We stayed at four different properties during our visit and this one was hands down the best location-wise and property-wise. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and the restaurant staff were attentive and helpful throughout. The open bathrooms were a fun highlight of our stay, really enjoyed ourselves at Punnamada.

Because of mobility with my hasband a mobilty room would have been idol. I believe you had one but it was occupied with another person who also had disabilty

The breakfast was excellent, loved pistachio milkshakes. Room was lovely set up in old age furnished style with outdoor wc and shower. Unfortunately my husband has mobility so the lovely boys GopiKrishna & Shiva were very caring and were there to assist my husband. We had ordered room service for our dinner and the food was excellent. We also did 1 hour sunset cruise on the lake in of your boat. Ratheesh M and Vinod P were both wonderful host on the boat. We love your boat, hope to stay overnight next time we come to Alleppey. Thanking you once again for baking our st at y a memorable one. We definitely recommend your beautiful resort to our friends and families.

The washrooms were partially open to the outdoors. Although they're fully private and safe, it can become a bit of a mess when it rains and you'll find plenty of insects to keep you company.

Very friendly and responsive staff, beautiful location and clean rooms. Good spa facilities too. The garden areas were very well maintained.

It was noisy next door which affected my sleep. Cost of backwater cruise was ridiculously expensive. I expected more group activities eg yoga

The service for food can be improved greatly especially in terms of communication. There were days with buffet/ without buffet ; some days with room service and other days did not have the food we needed for room service. They can surely work on communicating this to the guests so we are well aware before hand. It’s always better to have simpler options as room service because not all like buffet as it’s cooked in bulk and it’s just pricier. The tea service was also pretty confusing. We travelled during the weekend before Christmas, and agreed that it can get busy then, but they can do way better with a bit of planning and capable of doing way more to leave guests happier.

The location was great and picturesque. The staff were friendly. The rooms allotted were clean and well maintained . Bathrooms can be a given a bit more special attention. But not much to complain.

nothing in particular that I didn’t like however I do feel like the place could be doing with a spring clean…Some fresh paint and sanding of the wooden decor plus some cleaning up of the garden area would really help take this place upto the next level. has massive potential as a great resort, can’t really understand the bad reviews from others to be honest as our stay was pretty much flawless

plenty of activities for evenings. Food was excellent. great swimming pool, had an amazing 3 hour sunset hiuseboat tour wtih dinner served on board, highly recommend. staff were helpful, room was clean. well designed property with lots of lush greenery around. one of our better stays in Kerala for sure
