The AC didn't work even for 5 mins cumulative. We had to sleep in heat and no ventilation And it was all conveniently attributed to voltage fluctuations. And no one even apologised or compensated for that. The rooms were not clean. The bed sheets were stained and pillow covers seemed like insects had died over it. The shower in one of the rooms wasn't working. Overall the facilities nd general cleanliness of the place could have been much better.

The food was good. And the staff was cooperative.

The manager was the rude, defensive and argumentative type. Despite the booking stating my credit card will be charged, he refused to accept credit cards contrary to what is stated on booking.com saying he only takes cash because of covid.... I subsequently told him to update this on the website... It bothered me as I was very low on cash since not many people accepted credit cards this time in India. Secondly, the AC that was promised weren't operational during the said hour, it cut off between four and six which ruined my sleep. I was half awake during my morning cruise. Lastly, the boats were moored no where near the given address, when İ called their given number, it didn't work the first time round but I got through and someone was sent to pick me up, still worried me into thinking that I may have missed my ride. There seems to be too many levels of staffs who do not coordinate with each other.

The ride was magnificent and so was the food. The captain and cook were professional and helpful. They provided everything I asked for. The room was lovely, furnished in wood panels which I love.

Staff didnt almost speak english, there was no music without internet connection.

Boat was clean, staff was also nice, food was OK, overnight we stayed in a nice location to watch sunset. Overall very nice experience for one night.

I booked exclusive boat expecting that me and my family will use the property to spend our happy time. But, I got upset when late evening I wanted to be at hall area staff came and asked to vacant the place and to be shifted to room only. Day was hot so I asked them to switch on the AC for few hours but the denied and said they don't have fuel. they denied extra tea by saying they don't have milk and the house boat was not prepared to make any changes in the menu as they had limited stock. TV was there but of no use as no connection or network. They parked boat in evening 6 PM and re started in next morning 8 am and finished the tour at sharp 9 am. No early morning boating was there as the staff was sleeping in my hall area up to 7 am.

absolutely everything..it was a nightmare…this soma boats really sucks…there are lots of fat cockroaches and lizards in the boat…Guys avoid these night staying boats…There’s no light in the washroom also…it was so dark…

you shouldn’t call this a boat..this is a cockroaches and lizards house…it was a terrible experience…

Hope that the communication between the two sections of their business improves. The head office didn't pass our booking confirmation to the boat staff and we lost around 1.5 hour's of our cruise before the go ahead.

I felt cheated by the Soma management. I booked the stay for 54500. I was told by Soma staff to cancel the booking from Booking.com and book it directly with them. In that case I will have to pay only 50000. When I said that it is not possible because of T&C of booking, I was told that my booking is non AC and AC would be provided from evening 9 to 6 AM. If I wanted AC then I need to pay 10500 more. This I was told when I had already landed in front of the boat with my family. Staying without AC in that hot weather was not possible, so I had no choice but to pay an additional amount of 10500. While making the booking through Booking. Com, there was no such mention of AC or non AC. It was presumed that AC is a given thing considering the weather and the amount being charged. 2. The hygiene in the kitchen was below par. If only I had known about it, I would definitely have avoided Soma. The boat staff appeared totally uninterested and every request was declined with silly excuses. 3. The water in the shower was very dirty. 4. One of the room was stinking and we had to compromise because there was no choice. 5. Overall a disappointing experience.

The only good part about Soma house boat was that it was in Alleppy. Rest considering the amount paid for the stay, the experience was below par.

They try to scam you by saying that your card declines when trying to take the pre payment & then when you ask to try the payment again they say sorry the boat you booked is now sold out you must go on shared boat- then make you pay in cash. ( after being mucked around by them sending us to wrong pick up spot) The water on board is in reused plastic bottles that might not be sanitary - no seal cap. It’s quite boring, there’s no guide to give you information about Kerala - they barely speak English. No tv. About 2 hours of following other house boats in a loop through some busy back waters. You dock at 5.30pm in a general harbour - no where nice to wake up to just other boats right next door. No aircon till 8.30pm. Room is stinking hot. Food is pretty average. If you go in a group it might be ok, but I’d recommend doing a day trip in a smaller boat and avoiding house boats all together.

property was worst, not an hygienic place. rooms are too suffocated and there were cockroaches in washroom. no hand wash, tissues were low quality and no branded drinking water. bed spreads were not clean and room was smelling. Room was not worthy was charged more price than reservation time. we asked for upper deck and lower deck was given to us at last minute but we were charged same cost as upper deck.

Soma representative Anil was rude and was only interested in taking the money. He did not make any check on boat and the moment he met his focus was only that we pay the full amount. There was only 1 soap that we had to share between both the rooms,no Hand towels, fans were dirty, bedsheet were stained, Ac not working at night

The Boat is same as is described. Facilities are ample for a relaxing stay Food cooked is very tasty and spread is also sufficient The routes are mind blowing, cant explain to people who havent experienced themselves. Staffs are most amazing, they make the journey fascinating Bathroom is neat and clean
