“The flat owner, Rita, was charming and could not have been more helpful. She lived in an adjacent flat and we saw her and husband Angelo in the garden and they would always wave to us. They were genuinely friendly and struck a nice balance between being on hand but not being obtrusive. The flat was immaculate and Rita made us a cake and gave us some eggs, from her hen house, and salad from her garden. Just a lovely lady who was by far and away the best thing about our holiday. The flat was also within easy reach of Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, and an hour's drive to Milan. Too many beauty spots to mention within easy reach.”
