The experience in this accommodation was extraordinary. We took the room with amalfi view, the room was very clean and had all the facilities presented in Booking. I had breakfast included, made by Katia, which was very delicious. Katia was very kind and gave us very useful tips on how to spend our time on the coast.

Katia is the nicest person I have ever met. She did everything to make me feel as good as possible. She lives in Amalfi and gave detailed and practical advice every day. The room was very clean with mesmerizing view in a historical place. I went to the Ravello on foot although I am not a sportman. The breakfast was varieted, delicious with perfect cappuccino. I think it was the best vacation of my life. Grazie :)

L'Antico Episcopio was one of my stays that I was most looking forward to, and it met all my expectations and more!! It is a beautiful place to spend your days on the Amalfi Coast. The location is incredible and the facilities are quality, very nice and clean!! But what made my stay so good was the attention we received from Katia. From days before we arrived she made sure our stay was good, and it was!! She is a very kind, open and happy person. Everything was beautiful, a very highly recommended place. Thank you very much Katia!!

All themany steps getting to it. Helps to keep fit. Lagging a suitcase up so many steps was quite an effor but all worth it once we got there.

Cleanliness, friendliness, helpfulness, not all rooms have views, but I had eccellent views aal the way to the sae. The place rather quaint too. Likes it a lot

Be warned that the bus doesn't come to Pontone as frequently as it does to Scala or Revello. If you want to avoid the stairs at the end of a long day, just be sure to double-check the bus schedules and plan accordingly. The last bus to Pontone can be crowded, but we didn't see anyone not able to get on (in September) from the initial stop. Also, just a heads up that Google Maps can get a bit confused about where you are up in the mountains, so sometimes it's difficult to tell if you're on the right road. A kind local helped us find the place on the first night after we wandered by his balcony looking lost a couple times. :) (Katia did provide excellent instructions for how to find the place from the bus stop, but our plans to arrive via the bus got thwarted, so we were coming from a different direction than expected!)

Our room had a beautiful view and the place as a whole was lovely. The AC didn't quite reach up to the loft, but there was a fan provided with a wonderfully long power chord, so that was sufficient for us. Shampoo, q-tips, a mini toothpaste, towels and washcloths were all provided. Breakfast was good (especially the fresh orange juice). We ordered primarily from the items included with the cost of the room (juice, coffee, cheese/cold cut plates, yogurt, pastries -- there was a good variety for the 3 days we were there) since the a la carte options (like omelettes) were a bit pricey for us. Katia provided instructions for how to find the property from the bus stop, kindly confirmed and re-confirmed the bus schedules for us (after we misread them upon arrival and didn't trust ourselves ever after), and pointed us to some convenient restaurants in Pontone only a couple minutes from the L'Antico Episcopio. Wandering around Pontone, you're well away from the crowds in Amalfi, so it's a much quieter vibe and you get a chance to really absorb some wonderful views. (Just wear comfortable shoes and be ready for stairs!)

The Breakfast was amazing, plenty to choose from and served in a lovely Dining Room. The room had amazing views was very comfortable, clean and very tastefully decorated. Katia was the perfect host and always advising best way to get to places etc and answering any queries we had with her excellent local knowledge. Very peaceful few days in Pontone.

The bus to and from the area in not reliable . Try to travel light as the stairs are hectic.

Katia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and almost like one of the locals. She was quick to give us helpful tips and to listen to what we had planned, letting us know what would and would not work. The property felt historic and like we were in a movie, with the views of the Mediterranean from our church-like hotel room. The breakfast in the morning was a huge help, and the suggestions for dinner at night were delicious as well. There is plenty to do in Pontone to experience the Amalfi Coast while avoiding tourists and crowds, but also close enough to dive into the chaos and fun that is Amalfi.

Super cute and quiet location in Pontone! A great relaxing stay in a quaint local village. Definitely get to the waterfall nearby for a hike and swim. There is a bus which takes you down to Amalfi or you can take the 980 stairs (do not recommend with luggage!!!)

As a solo traveller I would highly recommend here. Indeed to Family tourist. 1. The view was really amazing, I could see amalfi view and scala etc. you can see directly from your room. 2. it is a lovely neighbourhood. all of the people from village were really nice and welcoming. 3. Lovely host take care of you really well. you can choose what you want for breakfast and it was great, flexible. 4. Air conditioner great, super clean, Have almost everything. 5. The place itself is really quiet and peaceful. ( i felt like it was my private place. 6. If there is change or bus problems etc the host always give you the best informations. 7. Close to Lavello ( one of the most beautiful place for amalfi) - you can walk 25 min to there . And for my avitivy it was so cool with view. 8. i have never had a problem with transportation. It was easy. ( also host has the bus tickets) 9 there are few restuarants with amazing view, and a supermarket with reasonable price.

Old charming building converted to a modern hotel. Killer view from the room! I got exactly the room pictured, and it was amazing! The room is clean, shower is modern and great, there is a fridge and a safe in the room, AC and extra fan do the job I keeping it comfortable. Breakfast is great, the best home-made croissant I’ve ever had! I felt very welcomed, and really enjoyed my visit! Highly recommended! Location is great, I could explore Pontone, walked down to Amalfi (about 45 minutes of a beautiful hike, but don’t do it at mid-day, do it before 10am), could walk to Scala and Ravello, but rented a scooter instead. Scooter parking is free in Pontone. There is also a direct bus to Amalfi if you have a luggage.
