Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLocation was excellent and close to all main attractions in Sorrento as well as the Marina Piccola for ferries to Capri & Amalfi Coast. Garden studio apartment is where we stayed and it was very quiet. This is not a hotel. No breakfast but great lemon garden and limoncello shop. People/staff were very nice and welcomed us with a limoncello toast.

AustraliaIt's a really nice apartment inside a lemon orchard. It's a very short walk into the main centre square of Sorrento. They have a factory, that makes lemoncello and other liqueurs. We got a small bottle of lemoncello when we arrived and some lemon slushies. Highly recommend it.

The place is great. The hosts are wonderful. We arrived at night, but they received us very kindly. The room is not very big, but neat and spacious. A garden full of lemons. The children went from the terrace every morning to collect lemons. The hosts serve ice cream and sweets and help with everything, they say something unclear. We will definitely come back here.

United StatesThe pictures are deceiving. The kitchen is very small. It has enough space for 1 tiny person to be there and there is not enough counter-space to really cook anything. It is there just to have a check mark. Kitchen wares are also bare minimal. Do not have a proper knife set. I planned on doing some cooking but couldn't once I was there. There was this constant musty smell in my garden room, and after investigation, I think it came from the unused, old fireplace. They have the air diffuser in the room; however, the smell is there all the time, which made my stay uncomfortable. That was the reason why I opened my back door for the whole week. It definitely got better toward the end. It is a bit confusing to find the place at first. No one reached out to me regarding checking in or the exact location of the place. Google map didn't take me to the right place. After 30 mins of trying to find and call the property with no answer, I found the direction function in the Booking app and went to the lemon shop side of the property. There, I was advised that Rossella wasn't there to answer the phone as it was Sunday, her day off. So I was left hanging. Very disappointed with this situation.
What I like best is the location. It is extremely convenient, just mins away from the heart of Sorrento, train and Sita bus stations. So you don't have to deal with the crowd all day long. The area is also very safe. I have my back door open all weeklong and feel very comfortable about it.

United StatesThe internet could have been a little stronger. The signal in that particular room was a little weak. But we didn't spend too much time on the internet anyway.
We got slightly lost during our walk from the train station to the room. Our hostess walked out to meet us and show us to the property. It was so amazing and above and beyond what I would have expected. She provided information on the room, the amenities, and provided us our keys. She followed up with us daily to make sure our stay was going well and to see if we needed anything additional.

The location is unbeatable. Very close to the center, bus, train and port. Rosella and Salvatore were the perfect hosts. She was so kind and gave us really nice tips and recommendations. The acommodation is a lemon grove, smells like heaven, and it's very peaceful, although you are in the center. Our room was just perfect, air conditioning works perfectly, and our little terrace was just heavenly. You will regret not staying here, so definitely book this place. We even received free limoncello - the best in town, they make it themselves in the factory. ❤️ so sad we had to go.

United KingdomEverything the family did was great. It was a little noisy one night from an adjoining property.
The family is very friendly and it is an amazing location in central Sorrento in a beautiful lemon grove. We were met at the gate and taken for a drink in the cafe/bar. It was a pleasant and clean studio room with a small kitchen and shower room Huge advantage of a bit of outdoor space which is lovely. It was great to have a cooking space because we were able to make food if we didn't fancy eating out as Sorrento was very busy. It is very secure and tucked away behind two locked gates off the main street. But very easy access to the main areas of Sorrento and only a couple of minutes walk to the train station (and bus). The port for boats to Capri and other locations is about a 10 - 15 minute walk down the steps (there is a lift that you can take too). We took the boat to Capri and loved it. We went to the beach club for a day which was lovely. Its not too far from Pompeii. I would definitely return here.

Irelandnothing to report here.
This property is as central as you can get, it is right beside the train and bus station and only a few minutes from the port, if you intend to use the ferries. The apartment is located in a lemon tree grove so it is very peaceful but you can walk out into the center of Sorrento. The family have a business based around the lemons they grow, there is a shop on-site which sells lemoncello, ice-cream and coffees and we got loads of free samples to try . Rosella was an excellent host and the staff made us feel really welcome, her Dad even brought us to the ferry the morning we departed, above and beyond.

United StatesThe pillows were hard, but that is common in Europe. The bed was quite low and pretty firm. There was a problem with a musty smell coming from the bathroom plumbing.
The location is perfect for a quiet stay in the middle of the city! The property is unique and charming. The coffee, limoncello and gelato were great. The staff was kind and the room was clean and the decor was simple. The private patio was really ideal.
