How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very minor but it was a bit loud till 1 am during the weekend (because it is very central and there are many bars etc around) and the WiFi was a bit weak sometimes
Great location, very friendly and helpful owner. He even offered free food in the kitchen

Our host was very friendly and had a lovely breakfast for us, also taking requests. The space is modern and very clean. We had a lovely two night stay. It was in a very convenient location near the downtown and train station.

Quite a lot of steps up to apartment. And also in Agrigento generally. Also if you're considering the Valee dei Templi, be aware if you're not very fit, it's a LONG walk, with little shade.
Very easy walk to centre. Lovely, kind, helpful hosts. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Full kitchen of you want to cook.

Great place. Comfortable, optimal size for a single person. It's a family running the place. Bruno took care of me and he was very nice all along. They come fix you breakfast, which is not necessary to me but a nice touch. Extra points for the water and well-supplied kitchen and fridge on arrival. I was at the tail-end of a 3-week long trip and added much welcome extra comfort. Great location, between the bus and train stations and Via Athenea. Right next to the buses that take you to the Parco Archeologico.

Delicious breakfast with coffee, freshly made local pastries and foccacia, wonderful to have a choice of yoghurts, fruit and drinks too.

Bruno was really helpful with his tips and recommandations, he brought us good breakfast every morning & made sure we started the day well. The room was spacious & bed was comfortable. Free parking was one street away and the location is right in the central of Agrigento. Rooftop is also very cute if you want to spend some time on your own and just relax. Worth noting as well, the local sodas (La Classica & Oran Soda) in the fridge were top notch, try them, you won't regret it ☺️

The mattress. some sort of foam bed that sagged and made me feel I was falling out of bed all night. terrible sleep.
Very central. compact place. New conversion of old building and nicely done. Pedestrian road outside noisy at night but they installed double sets of well made full height doors to balcony so barely a sound came through bedroom doors also well fitted sound resistant seals too. Perfect place for Agrigento site seeing. Great bathroom too.

Great position, only a short walk from the bus or train station. The owner was delightful with very good communications via WhatsApp. There are only two rooms, so quite a private feel to the accomodation, which is very well located in the old town. There are many restaurants and shops just on the doorstep. There is a kitchen area available for your use and as an added bonus you are free to use any of the drinks, (including some beer), snacks and fruit any time during your stay. Breakfast was very good, with fresh local croissants, sandwiches, yogurt and fresh fruit. There is a wonderful roof terrace, when the weather permits. It was only a 30 minutes walk downhill from the accomodation to the Valley of Temples...

Not so convenient to come on own vehicle because of the narrow streets and the stress to navigate them!
The apartment is big, comfortable and very nicely decorated. It has everything you need and the location to explore Agrigento’s downtown is excellent. The breakfast brought by the owner’s relative was delicious and fresh.

From arrival everything was PERFECT! Parking was not far. Location is amazing, and the structure itself was impeccable. Rooms are very large. Furnishings and bathrooms are new and sparkling clean. Breakfast was not only included, but they came and served us fresh typical pastries, fruit and cappuccinos! The hosts are friendly and helpful with information on what to see and local specialties. Would definitely RECOMMEND (and have!).

Unfortunately we had a bad breakfast experience. It was served late on our first morning and although agreeing to a 7.45 breakfast on the second morning, no one showed up. Fortunately there was some fruit in the fridge, some pre-packaged biscuits and we had been shown how to work the coffee maker. We were disappointed having chosen this accommodation based on the strength of other people's reviews.
The apartment was excellent and handy for everything, we arrived by bus and left by train, with a short walk to/from each. We liked the size of the room and the beautiful bathroom, and the outdoor space upstairs was good too. We walked to the Valley of the Temples, though the bus was handy.
