Several steep staircases to reach the apartment didn't cause us any problems but could be an issue for those with young or elderly travellers or with lots of luggage. Being at the very end of Ortigia means there are few parking options nearby.

Beautiful big apartment with very spacious rooms, tastefully decorated. Kind and friendly owner. Well placed to visit Ortigia on foot, with many cafes, restaurants and shops all around. The apartment is quiet and looks out across the rooftops.

Parking is not free. 15Eur per day in a parking lot 15mins from the apartment. There is one closer but pre-booking is necessary there.

The owner was very friendly and helpfull. Beautiful and well-equiped apartment. Just in the old town. Close to the attractions.

As seen in the pictures, the room has only a window above the doors - not a problem for us. The hosts have an extremely friendly dog that often stays in the staircase - not a problem for us, but could be for someone.

The apartment has a great location, in the heart of Ortigia, it is clean and has all the amenities required for a perfect stay. The host - Mariella, was very friendly and welcoming, she provided us with books to read while having coffee in the garden. Overall, an amazing place with a fantastic price to quality ratio.

For the price paid it couldn’t have been any better: clean, well maintained and wonderfully located in Ortigia. The hosts have been very friendly and welcoming. We traveled with an infant and they provided everything we needed. 100% recommended!

Toilet is very little (while the apt is massive), but very clean Parking is not possible as it’s reserved to residents, need to park in a parking where they charge over night. Host is however helping with the ztl pass

Super cosy little apartment with a nice and quiet garden patio, located directly in the old town, still very calm at night. Very clean room. Car parking is a nightmare though, we left it outside the historic district and walked to the peninsula.

The apartment was beautiful, well equipped and perfect in every way. The host was welcoming and easy to contact. The location was ideal, just a few steps from Ortigia's only beach for a morning swim or to relax in the sun as the locals do.

Even though the room was still being cleaned when we arrived, we really wanted to like this property. We were 3 people in total. After using the toilet each- the pot got clogged - the owner arrived and pretty much blamed us for throwing too much toilet paper in the pot and clogging it. (Not the case we explained several times) she proceeded to unclog the pot and left. We moved on with our day. Upon returning in the evening, we were welcome by a cockroach that was running around the bed. Killed it- once again moved on. Apartment was extremely humid and had a strong gutter smell - we tried to turn the AC on, impossible with no instructions on how to do so either (it was too late in the evening to message the owner) We get into bed- STAINS on the sheets and duvet - bodily fluid of different colors and strong smell once again. Middle of the night realised that in fact there was only one single toilet paper roll for us (3 people) Torturous to find yourself without toilet paper in the middle of the night. All in all, a terrible experience and will most certainly never be coming back. Such a pity. Because, we really wanted to like to. Misleading photos and dirty unkept property.

Pictures on booking are misleading. Most of the ones from the room are not from this flat but from the owner's flat. Everything was extremely dirty. We even didn't dare taking a shower that disgusting it was. Bed and coverage are old and not sure they were clean. Bathroom towels were grey instead of white. The absolute horror was the kitchen. Rusty owen, not a single thing was not greasy, dusty and... Gosh. The si called garden with 2 chairs you can see on the pictures is the one of the owner... Nice, isn't it? My worst experience ever. I'll put a deposit at booking to get reimbursed. This is not permitted and assimilated to a lie!

Too much uncleaned trace left from the previous guests (e.g. clumbs on the chair) and the room was very humid including all the beddings. The heating system was not good enough to warm and dry up the room either.

Dump smell, room without windows, small flat. The pictures are misleading because they are mixed between different flats in the building so you are not sure which one is assigned to you. They should post different ads for each flat.

The parking options

Great location, close walking distance from everything you need. The apartment is really big! Be careful with the parking options, it was still low season and we could only park 1,5km away from the apartment in Talete parking, which looks a bit weird.

There was a smell of damp and some of the drawers in the kitchen and the bathroom has evidence of not having been thoroughly cleaned.

Mariela was a brilliant host, she was flexible and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location of the room was perfect, so close to the beach and local attractions and restaurants.
