This compact yet complete apartment is the perfect base to explore the historic island of Ortigia in Syracuse. It is quiet and was immaculately clean. It has a fully functional kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. Access arrangements and communications with Mariella were first class. Wi-Fi was strong. Mariella arranged parking (paid) for us at a nearby parking facility - a bonus because of the virtually nonexistent availability of of on street parking on the island - let alone in the vicinity of the apartment. Easy walking distance to cafes and restaurants and the various tourist attractions of Ortigia. Highly recommended and good value.

Palazzo Spagna is located near the beach and all attractions. The host, Mariella is wonderful woman, very nice and kind. the apartment is huge and has all the necessary equipments which you need for your stay. She helped us with parking and answered us all the questions. We recommend Palazzo Spagna 100%!

There was an issue with the water pipes when we were there that affecting the town. Shower had limited light. But not a deal breaker. The apartment is gorgeous

We love this apartment. It’s beautiful, stylish and in a great location in Ortigia. We used the covered parking just as you enter the island. It’s an easy, lovey stroll through town to get to the apartment. It’s just across from the Cala Rossa beach and walking distance to everything. Nice little cafe with sea view is just in front. Mariella is a great hostess and we will stay here again when in Ortigia.

Very nicely situated in Ortigia, with view of the sea from the bedroom. Spacious flat with everything you need to make your stay perfect. Just outside the flat, plenty of bars and restaurants, even secluded beaches/bathing rocks are just a couple of min away. The host is super helpful and place is perfect for families with small kids.

Needs hooks in the bathroom to hang up your towels. . Parking is a challenge - we had to park quite a long way away to get free parking. So dropping off luggage & loading it back into the car can be challenging if you’re traveling for 2 months as we were.

The location is super pretty! Next to the little beach which is lovely for a swim, and in one of the prettiest streets of Ortigia/Syracuse. Our host Mariëlla was lovely too and helped us with reserving a parking spot around the corner (which I definitely recommend to ask for if you are traveling by car).

Perfect location in an old building with interesting architectural features. Decorated with excellent taste, furnished with antiques and quality products. The owner is charming, so welcoming and thoughtful. A total delight. I wished I’d booked for more nights. Supervised underground car park next door. I will book it every time I’m in Ortigia.

Too many stairs. Light switches in stairwell not easy to find. I fell down the last step due to it being dark and injured my arm.

Only two very small things we noticed - old used ears buds from previous guest left on the bathroom sink. And we were asked if the cleaner could come at 10.30am - we confirmed we were checking out at the check out time of 11.30am. Then the cleaner still came at 10.30am which made us feel like we were being told to leave an hour early. Other than those two things, we were so impressed and still recommend!

Cannot fault at all! Highly recommend. Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Location and accomodation was fabulous, we were super impressed!

Very frendly and helpful flats owner - Mariella. The accomodation was wonderful - appartment in classical style. A beautiful beach is in 2 Minutes by foot.

Well, I would say apartment is adorable, good location, close to the sea and city centre. Room was clean and tidy. I was really happy I chose that place.
