Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe didn't like having to leave this beautiful place!
My partner and I, from the north coast of Ireland, had an unforgettable week at the beautiful Poggio Angelarosa. The hosts Antonella and Antonio instantly made us feel at home and were always on hand if we needed anything! Pontone is a little mountainous village with breathtaking 360° views of the coast and lemon-straddled mountains, offering peace and tranquility away from the bustling streets of Amalfi town. The room was everything we had hoped for, nestled at the end of the winding path of the lemon garden. The shower made our bathroom feel like a Roman bath, a lovely surprise feature that added to the experience. The bus stop is located a short 5 minute walk from Poggio Angelarosa and takes you to neighbouring mountain towns or to the coast, with a local grocery shop (which also sells bus tickets) and incredible restaurants right at your doorstep. If you enjoy hiking like we do, you may also wish to take the stairs from Amalfi, but be prepared for a 30-45 minute hike! It's an unmissable hike if that's your thing. Our hosts organised a dinner during our stay; the food was amazing, plus we met people from around the world and were joined by two incredible local musicians playing some Italian classics. We couldn't recommend Antonella and Antonio's place highly enough and can't wait to return for our next visit.

AustraliaI was genuinely excellent, if I was to pick anything it's only that you have to do any large shops at the bottom of the hill in Amalfi.
The location was amazing. Beautiful views down the valley with big patios to enjoy the view from.

United KingdomNot a dislike for us, but the location wouldn’t be for everyone. There’s no vehicle access to the apartments, and a 5 minute walk from the bus stop; the rest of the way is along narrow pedestrian streets. We took the hillside stairs down (and up again) to Amalfi, takes about 20-30 minutes. Be aware of the last bus time as taxis are expensive.
Amalfi town is so full of tourists, it was magical to hop on a bus for 10 minutes and arrive in a quiet village above the chaos. The apartments are nestled in a beautiful terraced garden full of lemon trees and scented flowers. Major highlight was wine tasting and dinner with other guests, cooked for us by our hosts and much cheaper than dinner in Amalfi. We spent 5 nights here as our base for exploring the whole area, and it was ideal.

Incredible views and really comfortable apartment. It was the perfect quiet place to stay away from the Amalfi crowds. We loved the wine tasting/dinner hosted by Antonella & her husband! We found the location great to visit various parts of the Amalfi Coast in our car. We also loved the hike to the waterfalls close by. We won't forget our experience there!

SwedenMosquitoes in the room if you leave windows open during evening. Not worth to pay 7 euro per person for breakfast which consisted of coffee, croissant and marmalade/jam with hard bread. Main course of the dinner was pasta with chickpeas, could have been nice with any meat of choice or something with more greens as an vegetarian alternative. Hard to reach without car/scooter. Also after parking (on the street 3 euro per hour or private parking 20 euro per day) you have a bit of a walk with lots of stair steps to reach the place in general, not a good fit if you have trouble walking uphill or disability.
Amazing and unique place to stay among the locals of the small village Pontone. Very picturesque with stunning views, loads of lemon trees and sound of roosters. We had our own little terrace with sunbeds and out-door shower where the spent some time away from the noisy and crowded tourisy areas. Fully equipped studio-apartment to cook own meals. Clean rooms, AC, fresh bathroom. Nice dinner with wine tasting for 35 euro per person. We got lemon jam from the owners as a gift when we left. 15 min walk to the bus station taking you to Amalfi in 20 minutes. Angostina was our contact person besides from the owners, very helpful with information regarding parking, mini markets, bus to reach amalfi/ravello.

United KingdomVery little to improve on this stay - we really enjoyed it. Toilet roll holder and outside umbrella broken, but replacements had been ordered. The hosts were very receptive to this. Can't wait to come back!
Extraordinary hosts, who went out of their way to support their guests. Recovered a fellow guest's lost passport within an evening through local connections. Wine-tasting and pasta evening was delicious. Views were superb, apartment was clean and comfortable. Surrounding lemon groves were spectacular. A hidden gem up the hill from Amalfi. Buses to the village were easy to get. The walk up the stairs was pretty hard otherwise!

United Kingdomnothing ! it was perfect :) thank you so much
absolutely gorgeous apartment with a view of the lemon gardens and the mountains and had napoli banners hanging off our balcony which made us laugh. we went to their lemon garden every morning to see the views and to look at the lemons (which you can take home) and bought some limoncello made on the property using their own lemons ! the owners were amazing and host a dinner/wine tasting on friday nights with live music in their lemon garden and it couldn’t have been a nicer evening, the food was incredible and the wine was delicious, and the music was a perfect addition to the evening. we got a bus into amalfi every day and had the most amazing holiday here, will definitely be coming back

IrelandWe loved our time here! A beautiful, relaxing place away from the busy Amalfi town. The apartment was perfect and the gardens and views from the property were stunning. The hosts were super friendly and helpful with recommendations in the locality and best ways to get around. Pontone is also a beautiful little town and there is a regular bus from Amalfi that only takes 10-15 minutes. Also the lemoncello we had at the tasting the host runs in the evenings was the best we had all trip!

IrelandNo complaints. Note: This has nothing to do with the place, but a note for anyone from our own experience, do not take the stairs. Take a bus or taxi from Amalfi to get up there. Taxis are expensive, and local buses are very cheap.
The view was gorgeous and breathtaking. Loved all the lemon trees surrounding us. Owners and staff were fantastic and more than helpful. Food was spectacular, with locally made jams and drinks. The place was clean and comfortable with a wonderful shower and Aircon, perfect when dealing with hot Mediterranean weather during summer. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to Amalfi.

United KingdomNot a great deal within a short walking distance. Amalfi is the closest big town, but it's a long set of steps in between. Public transport/taxis are an option, but highly recommend a car for your visit here.
It's such a beautiful and unique property just outside Amalfi town. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations when we arrived. You're located just up the hill outside Amalfi, so far enough for a peaceful escape with a great view, but close enough for the atmosphere when you want it.

United StatesNothing! It was a wonderful stay.
This was possibly one of the most beautiful locations I have ever stayed at. Spectacular views of the Almalfi coast and perched amongst the incredible gardens and lemon trees, it was such a tranquil stay. The room was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. It was very quiet, peaceful, and private, which we really appreciated after being in the crowds in Almalfi and other towns along the coast. The host Antonella was so kind and extremely helpful, even helping to arrange for a driver to take us to Naples when we left. We would definitely stay again if returning to the Almalfi area :)

United StatesThis wasn't really a problem for us because we like walking/hiking, but it is a long walk to nearby towns and a LOT of steps. Just something to be aware of if you won't have a car/scooter. The walks are beautiful and can be part of the day's activity!
The poggio was such a relaxing space, and the view is beautiful. The hosts were very helpful and helped me arrange transit. We loved staying in small Ponzone, which has a couple great restaurants and was away from the crowds.
