The buses in the area are not very frequent or reliable, making it very difficult for people who don’t drive. The walk down to Amalfi is about 1,500 steps so if you are not a very fit person it may be difficult going up and down. Pontone is quite isolated.

The view was stunning. It felt like I was in a disney movie at night. Maria the owner and her family were very friendly and welcoming. Maria left us water and iced tea as well as some snacks for when we arrived :) This place is perfect for people who want a nice peaceful holiday.

There is a way to walk up to the property from Amalfi. Do not believe the 30 minute walk that google maps will tell you, especially if you have luggage. Recommend taking the bus up and walking down.

Amazing view. B&B settled in small town up the mountain from Amalfi. A view restaurants and a connivence store in the town. Bus stop located ~10 min walk from the B&B that will take you down to Amalfi. Maria was a great host and had great communication. She made us coffee multiple times during our and came to chat about our stay. Will stay again if we ever return to Amalfi Coast. Great spot.

The place is very beautiful with spectacular view of Amalfi! There was everything we needed, fully-equipped kitchen and we were greeted with some snacks, which was very nice and thoughtful! Maria and her family were amazing hosts and we totally recommend staying with them! One of the evenings she brought us homemade frittata ❤️ It is a little bit difficult to find and there are a lot of stairs, which is typical for this destination. Maria settled our parking spot for us and we had no problem. Pontone is very small and it is located above Amalfi, there is a bus line, but all in all it is better to be with a car. If you don’t want to use transport, there were stairs leading down to Amalfi (around 15-20 minutes). Thankfully they had a lift for our luggage, so we didn’t have to carry it all the way up. We really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back!

Maria provided us with very specific details on how to get to the property. Her husband met us at the bus stop and took us and all of our luggage to the property. They even had a really nice luggage elevator to lift everything up to the property. She gave us a tour of the property and showed us how to use everything.

Beautiful view over Amalfi town, there is a bus that can bring you back up (or down) to Pontone and steps to go down each day, small cosy apartment with a nice restaurant and shop a minute or two walk away. Maria is a lovely host and met us at the bus stop to pick up our luggage and was always very quick to answer any questions we had. Also a short walk to a trail (valle delle ferriere) that has a lovely waterfall at the end

Quite far from Amalfi itself - we had to depend on a bus that is not reliable or walk up//down over 1000 steps. Shower was not working properly, the fixture was broken. The oven was also broken - when we spoke to the host about this she was very apologetic and let us use her own oven.

Absolutely not fault of the property but we wished for better weather for May. According to locals it was very unusual cloudy and rainy. We had bad luck but now we have even more reasons to come back again. May be a suggestion to add hairdryer in the room, but it is very minor thing and not a big deal.

The view from our apartment was amazing!! The communication with Maria was so easy before and during our stay she was always available and made sure we have all we need. The checking was super easy and hussle free. The apartment had the character we were looking for coming to Scala and had everything we needed. Maria has truly beautiful home where we felt so welcomed and only felt sad to leave so early. You feel the love they put into their beautiful house. We will definitely stay in touch with Maria and come back again. PS. Thank you Maria for delicious lemon coffee!! We will make it again ourselves again remembering our Amalfi adventures.

Main downside is the number of steps you have to climb to reach the house. It does not specify that properly. For me it was not that much of a problem. But after a long tiring journey, it was very laborious for my mother to make the trek uphill to the house. I hope they specify this perfectly in the description. Otherwise for older people it is a problem if they are not used to it.

One of the best places to live in Amalfi coast. Has a view like no other. You will be mesmerized. It looks right down the 2 hills into the sea. Its like a postcard. You have access to 2 terraces all the time. The house was really clean and spotless. Had everything that was described and the wifi worked properly. Maria, the host, is a lovely woman and so friendly. She helped us with almost everything and always had a smile on her face. Really a wonderful stay. Make no mistake , it is one of the best places to stay in.
