Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaMy friend and I struggled with the lack of kitchen facilities. With no shops around, and only a microwave to prepare food, no cups or bowls provided, it was lucky we brought food and cups with us. But it was really restrictive. Another major drawback of staying at Moiwa is the accessibility. There's no bus that consistently travels to and from Moiwa. Paired with being out of the way and lack of taxis, we resorted to skiing over to annupuri anytime we wanted to go somewhere. The bus routes and schedules in the whole Niseko area are confusing af to a new visitor.
The sleeping pods at Moiwa are awesome. Felt very private, with ample room for yourself and storage space for luggage. The bathroom facilities are really nice and well-kept (except for the 20 second limit on the shower button). Also security there was pretty good, needing a key for the locker and to get into the rooms. And obviously affordability for being slope side was great.

PhilippinesNot so convenient to move around Niseko if you don’t have a car.
Literally infront of Moiwa Ski Resort and a bus stop. But buses have limited trips. It would be nice if you rent or have your own car so that it would be convenient if you transfer from one place to another, especially when you look for restaurants. There is only 1 resto in the property and 1 in the ski resort.

United StatesThe lounge area is small, and the material for the sheets for the bed was slightly uncomfortable. It is a hostel, so you do hear a lot of noise that can wake you up early in the morning.
The capsules themselves were nice, being more spacious than I expected. Large storage space under the capsules was convenient. They also had lockers for ski gear for hotel guests. Shared spaces were always clean.

SingaporeLack of free shuttle bus service compared to the other places with no free pick-ups from other parts of the resort making it a little challenging but apart from the location, everything was amazing would recommend
Right outside the Moiwa Ski Resort, although a little further away from the Niseko United resorts but still within decent accessibility. Very clean capsule hotel, quiet, lots of privacy. Washing machine and dryers were always available. Staff were helpful.

United Kingdompods were an interesting experience, but very thin walls and creaky. You hear a lot. overall, bathrooms were great, laundry facilities were good, the whole stay was enjoyable. Breakfast was different. like left overs combined with eggs and sausage. coffee was not the best. cereal was available. salad was new to me for breakfast. The area of Moiwa is very far from Hirafu or niseko but if you have a car it is a great place to stay. I would stay there again.

JapanThe room doesn’t have enough space for everybody to place their luggage. There is only one shelf for almost 20 people per room. if you come with big bags or suitcases you will have some problems to place them. The property has a small free space room with a TV, microwave and water but it is pretty small. If all the guests come at the same time it won’t be space for everybody.
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good with some different foods to choose.

SingaporeThis capsule uses blinds as thr capsule door so for you light sleepers out there do expect to hear other guests in the room snoring, opening the room doors, opening the luggage compartments, etc. The fan inside capsule is very weak despite putting it on full blast. Buffet breakfast choices are also limited. Lack of convenient stores nearby, so do grab all you need (if you are heading out to niseko) before heading back to the hotel!
Located right smack infront of mount moiwa ski lift so you can walk from the hotel front door to ski lift directly. Plenty of parking and front desk staff was very helpful. There is shuttle bus to annapuri niseko available at limited frequency.

JapanIt's hard to tell whether shoes are allowed or not allowed. Many western people are wearing their shoes inside the hotel. In fact, there is a guide sign that shoes are allowed. I asked a staff about it, but I didn't get clear answer. I saw some people walking into the dressing room of the shower room with their shoes on. I felt really sick. For Japanese people, walking barefoot in a place where shoes are allowed is exactly the same as walking in a sewage system. There were too many people wearing shoes, so I decided not to walk barefoot inside the hotel. Overall, I think it's a good place to stay.
Moiwa ski resort is just there. I can check snow conditions whenever I stay at my capsule room.

United StatesIt's a bit tricky to get here unless you rent a car or schedule a taxi (which you need to do far in advance during the busy season), so keep that in mind if you want to check out the other slopes in Niseko during your stay.
When they mean "ski to door", they mean it! Moiwa Ski Resort is immediately adjacent to this lodge. The capsules within were clean and featured customizable LED lighting, and the lockers were spacious enough to hold all of your gear. The restaurant also offers many Western dishes to fill up after a long day on the slopes.

United StatesLack of public/free transportation to Niseko. I understand Moiwa is a ski area separated from Niseko, but it is rather inconvenient in this case due to location and language barrier.
Solid facility overall, clean, modern and functional. Basic but adequate breakfast, comfortable bed in the capsule, I can deal with a longer stay if needed.
