the waves were really high (in march/april at least) so it was not so funny to swim there. i had very much sand in my swimwear in the end and i do not recommend that. there was plenty of sand also on the floor in our room when we arrived. it was a very sandy stay overall. our rooms furniture was very sporadic, with literally only a bed and a net to hold back the mosqitos. we would have liked a nightstand or something like that. the showers and toilets were shared with the other visitors but that was ok.

the food and juices are very good, altough a bit pricy (but its a touristy place so it was expected). we were in room number one and it was great! it is for real directly at the beach. there are two big windows with sea view and you can hear the waves when you go to sleep. the bar and everything was very chill. you can also work from there on your laptop if you need to. the rooms had funny names, the vibe was great :)

More a few things to be aware of … It isn’t a touristy spot (we liked it that way) but there wasn’t many options to eat out of the bar. We didn’t have a curtain in our treehouse room so it meant we were awake with the sun at 6am. The other 2 seemed to have curtains so it was very confusing. We also didn’t have any sheet or blanket to sleep under - I slept under my towel. Again from peeking at other rooms they seemed to so maybe we were unlucky? Also it’s really hard to have two people stay as there is no way to shut the door while your partner may want to come back in as it is a padlocked room … I went for a nap in the afternoon and had to lock my partner out so I could shut the door.

Location is totally beautiful and quiet - we loved the sunbeds overlooking the beach. The beach is a great spot. Staff all very friendly. The food was good. Would come back

Not enough fresh air in the room unless the door is open. No fan in the room so it was a little bit hot at night.

Ok, there is not AC in the room, so this could be a problem for you. As the temperature gets humid at night.

The stay in Bara Beach Home was not on agenda initially but ended up booking another night. Because this property is a gem. Beach front location Great resto & bar Amazing staff!!! They are awesome and definitely the highlight of my stay.

The only issue for me were the wash rooms. The middle cubicle didn’t have a lock and the showers were so close proximity to the toilets that if someone had a shower it would cover the toilet seat in water

Great location and absolutely stunning views. Really nice atmosphere and the staff were all really friendly and attentive. This is a hostel at the end of the day so it’s going to be small rooms and barely working fans but the room wasn’t that unbearable and the mosquitos net was nice as the room is open through big cracks so lizards and bugs roam free

Make sure you bring cash, we got there to pay for our room And were told it's cash only and the nearest ATM is about 2km And no towels so make sure to pack your own I was fine with it because it was my birthday but they is loud music played at the bar and doesnt stop till about 3am and starts again at 7am

Bars Beach Home was is set right one the beach with such lovely friendly staff. I stayed here for my birthday and it did not let me down at all. Everyone was so friendly, drinks were nice and a decent price. I was even given a birthday cake, definitely recommend staying here. Beautiful view of the sunset in the evening We did stay in the holiday home and had our own bathroom

I had actually booked a tree house. There were no curtains, no fan and no towel which was definitely not worth the money. This is why I moved to the dorm which was much more comfortable to sleep at 1/3 of the price of the tree house.

There’s only one electric outlet in every room and we didn’t get the memo that you had to bring your own towels but they kindly provided it to us.

Personnel is amazing, super helpful, very kind. Food was good and reasonably priced. Location right on the beach, a little paradise.

Two points to improve (i am talking about the dorm, idk how the private rooms are): - i could be a thicker mattress, the one that they offer is too thin and uncomfortable. two night were ok though - there are no lockers. in that case i just trusted and everything was just fine.

I liked the area and it was cheap to sleep in a dorm there. It’s directly at the sea with access to a nice beach, from the room window i could see the sea and when music was. it to loud i could also hear it. Food was good too. And the staff there was nice, friendly and helpful.

Although if you’re looking for a place to rest this is not exactly the place to be. The treehouse was nice but very noicy (you’re sleeping above the bar and restaurant)

There are a lot of good chill spots and the view is very nice. You can watch an amazing sunrise and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Would have been hard to stay longer than two nights due to room being so small and not that comfortable. Also be prepared for music to be loud.

We stayed at Bara Beach Home over a weekend they were having a beach party and we had so much fun. The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The room is very basic but good value for money as right on beach and good facilities there. Food and drinks were also really tasty and good value for money. Very picturesque place right on the beach.

The beds could have been comfier and the shower and toilet facilities could be better. We only stayed one night so neither of these things bothered us too much but it's worth noting if you're planning on staying longer than a night. They also play music quite loud into the night so if you're not a fan of this then bringing some earplugs might be a good thing to do!

The location of the hostel is incredible, with a beautiful beach front location it was hard to fault. The owners are really helpful and all really lovely to chat to.

Holes in treehouses which allowed for a lot of bugs. Mosquito nets were provided though. Really loud music at night that detracted from the setting and wasn’t very relaxing.

It was directly on the beach. Really chilled vibe. Staff were really pleasant. Great outdoor spaces to chill out. We didn’t get chance to stay because of an emergency, and we weren’t charged for our stay. Really kind of the staff.
