Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe bed was so hard, it made me wake up every few hours during the night. The first night I squished a bed bug (though it was the only one I witnessed and got bitten just once during my stay). I also found a big rusty nail between the blankets and the mattress and I have no idea how it went unnoticed when the the bed was made. The bathroom needs some fixing: the toilet seat was coming off and the sink had only hot water, because the cold water valve below the sink was closed. I tried to open it and water started flowing out directly from the wall valve (hence, that’s why it was closed). The family in front of the hostel (and right below my window) is very noisy at night, with kids playing football, yelling and crying way past midnight almost every day. I’m so sorry to give such a list of things, though I believe they are fixable if addressed properly. The accommodation has a lot of potential and invites to spend some time in the hall. It would certainly benefit the touch of a designer to work the interiors for an international clientele
It is off the crowded part of the Medina, but once you know how to navigate the maze, you’ll be in the soul area in no time :) also, it’s a few minutes ride to Bab Boujloud (10 Dihram) The man working there is friendly and welcoming. We spent time chatting and I’ve learn something more about Morocco. A day I was not feeling particularly well and he offered to get me a sugary drink from the kiosk nearby. The room is convenient for a solo traveler on a budget and it has its own private bathroom. You wouldn’t enjoy hanging around the room during the day, though I doubt that this is why you’d come visit Fez for

SpainWould be a good idea to add a curtain to the shower, to avoid spilling water everywhere. Also, it's a good idea to keep the bathroom door closed at all time to keep away the bad smell from the tubes.
A charming, lovely riad in the outskirts of the Medina, close to the main road, which makes it both easier to find and quieter (but also a little bit more distant from the bustling center of the Medina). The decoration is really nice, the room was ample, clean, fresh, and quiet. The breakfast was very complete, diverse, and tasty. And last but not least, Mustapha was a a thoughtful host, explaining us everything we needed, making sure we didn't lack of anything (SIM card, change, advices...) and checking on us every day - a true professionnal.

United StatesRoom was clean and comfortable, the host Mustapha was very helpful and was quick to provide us with anything we needed during our stay. It's only a 5 min walk from Bab Guissa (one of the gates to the walled city) which was super convenient since cars can't enter so you don't have to walk far with your suitcases. Beautiful dining area and terrace. Would highly recommend!

United StatesStaying in January and the room had a very high ceiling so most of the heat went up and didn't warm us completely. Hardly any restaurants nearby but a short cab ride would take us down to the Blue gate and the heart of the Medina..
If you want to feel like you're traveling in the real Morocco this is the place. Plenty of Old world charm. The best part is meeting Mustafa. He will do everything he can to make your stay easy and enjoyable. A charming fellow!

United KingdomThe riad is located on the top of the hill, in a much quieter area of Fes. Easy to park around the back. Our host Abdul was really welcoming, and made us feel at home. We really enjoyed spending some time chatting together. The riad itself is very nice and we were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of vegan options. On top of that, the price was really good for the value of our stay. Highly recommended!

Our experience with Mustafa was great. He is very helpful and friendly. He can speak multiple languages which is a plus. We had to leave at 6:15 to catch an early morning train and he woke up for us, came to drop us on the main road and helped in getting the taxi which was definitely not his job but he did it out of kindness and courtesy.

Germany- Abit smelly, - The beds in one room had ants waking on them.
- Mustafa was very friendly and welcoming and available during our whole stay. - On our last day he arranged our flight tickets very late at evening via postal service since in Morocco you can not check-in with mobile ticket and Ryainair charges huge fees. - The accomodation was OK. It was very old and traditional Ryad.
