Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalI had no reply to my messages on booking written months ahead :( Finally, i had to telephone them last minute the day before, but only to receive a disengaged and unclear response (about vegan options at breakfast and about the possibility of an earlier check-in time or an earlier luggage drop off), which was very unfortunate as we had a wedding schedule to fulfill. Could use a few more plugs (either you charge your phone or turn on the bed side table lamp), a tall mirror in the room could be an extra. It's a traditional old alentejo house, so there's poor sound proofing and the house feels a bit humid, so you have to use a blanket and heater in May. The parking is awkward and far away from the door.
Peaceful location, with everything you need. They allow the guests to use a fridge for storing foods and a microwave in the kitchen. Comfy bed, spacious room and pretty decorations. Hot shower. Well cleaned. There was some natural herbal teas provided. A fire stone chimney lit in the house's living room.

AustraliaIt was difficult to find the farm, but once we were there, it was wonderful.
Cooked breakfast was fabulous. The whole house and farm was lovely. The staff looked after our needs well. We really enjoyed our stay here.

PortugalNothing we disliked. all was perfect. as it was winter and a bit humid and cold, we have not tried the pool but I guess it is amazing in summer to chill around the farm, in the garden and by the pool!
Excellent property, very clean, just a few minutes away by car from Evora, in the countryside. Super quiet. Beautifully decorated - very homy. breakfast is very good . feels like at home! We even forgot something for our child at the location and the owner kindly sent it back to us very quickly ! amazing service, responsiveness.... Perfect stay!

EstoniaLoved the place. But I will write couple of moments that did not upset or anything, but could be useful to mention. I would take slippers to my next trip as the floor is super cold (as in some other places in Portugal or Italy as well). Don't get scared of the white and black dog (it is very friendly) if you arrive in the dark. Google showed us the right place, but it was dark, and dogs were barking. It was a bit hard to understand which house was the main one.
We stayed for 1 night in November. Lovely and beautiful house, room and farm. Tasty breakfast (eggs, ham and cheese and bread, muesli with milk, yogurt, coffee, fresh juice, jams etc). You should have a car, if you want to have some sleep at a farm, as it is outside Evora town. We took a walk around the farm with a friendly dog, who was together with us. Loved the views, animals. Also the hosts were super nice. Shampoo, conditioner and even body cream in the bathroom. Conditioner made the room warmer. Loved the evening with tea and fireplace with actual fire in the living room. Totally recommend❤️

BrazilThe room is too dark, would be great to have better lighting. The shower area could be bigger as well.
Staff are friendly and provided great suggestions about what to do. The place is really calm and peaceful. They have a lovely farm and at night with clear sky you can see an amazing sky full of stars. The breakfast in the morning was carefully adapted to our milk intolerance.

United StatesThe bed was a little hard for my liking but comfortable. No nearby eating establishments. A 10 minute drive recommendation turned out to be closed at 6:30p on Wednesday and I didn’t want to drive 30 min back to Evora for dinner:( no food storage or cooking allowed by guest onsite. There were snacks, ice cream, fruit and beverages available for additional cost.
It was quiet, spacious and well kept facilities. I really liked having a private ensuite bathroom, wifi and plenty of outdoor nature to enjoy. The staff and owner were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed meeting the other guests.

United KingdomThe staff seemed irritated with us. We annoyed them by buying a meal from a supermarket one evening and cooking it ourselves. We bought wine from the supermarket not from the B&B. Another evening we paid our hostess to cook for us. That worked better. It was delicious but the amount of food was more than we can normally eat, especially after an all-day wedding feast. One of the bathrooms was in need of maintenance. The WiFi worked only in the sitting room.
The setting is beautiful and the location was perfect for access to our wedding celebrations near Evora. For most of the time our family had sole use of the whole of the old farmhouse which is well worn but mainly charming and serviceable.

United StatesThe breakfast was unorganized. It was late every morning and it took awhile to get coffee and eggs. It would have been nice if they emptied the trash everyday when they made our bed.
Peaceful, very quaint. Gave us an idea of what a farmhouse in Portugal was like. The hostess was very pleasant and tried to make our stay enjoyable.

CanadaThey hosted a picnic the day we arrived--there were tons of leftovers, which we would have gladly paid for for our lunch. Perhaps this is something that could be offered to guests?
Breakfast was fantastic. This was the perfect rural retreat in our trip, with super friendly staff and lovely interactions with other guests. We were a little skeptical upon arrival--it looks a little more rustic than we'd thought--but found everything super comfortable, warm, and inviting.

United Kingdomwe were given a room upgrade but never took it because our original choice was twin beds and the other room only had a double in. I would recommend when replacing your beds to put in a super king instead. it makes for a much more peaceful night for your guests having space to sleep in.
stylish, comfortable and very cool (as in chilled). the swimming pool was an added bonus. loved being able to walk along the viaduct too.

NetherlandsThe old house is really charming, but the lack of sound isolation is a downside. We heared the people in the next room for most of the evening. It was not very disturbing, but it takes away some feeling of privacy.
Lovely location, excellent place to find rest and peace while being close to Evora. The hosts are really friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Also got a welcome drink which was really attentive. The walk along the Evora aquaduct and the cork trees is really nice.

The swimming pool and garden are a bit old but you can still enjoy yourselves there and chill in the sun (if you don’t mind all the flies flying around your head ;))

United StatesWifi is non existent in the wine room. I had to wake up at 5AM and to go to the common area to get on the internet. At 7AM when the other guests woke up and started using the internet, I could no longer use the internet. The weather was cleared on that day so it could not be the reason for poor internet.
