  • Cambria Hotel LAX Review score: 9

“The staff were very polite and efficient. We didn't hear any planes in the two days we stayed. The location was in a quiet location and only 15 mins to Manhattan beach.”

  • Pasadena Rose & Crown Hotel Review score: 10

“We had a room with 2 double beds on the 2nd floor overlooking the driveway and pool. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a closet with hangers and a full length mirror, a bench/shelf and big desk to put our 2 suitcases, plus another big desk with the TV. The room also had a fridge, free coffee/tea and breakfast was included in the lounge by Reception. Staff were very helpful and let us store our bags before and after our check-in & check-out.”

  • “We had a great stay, no complaints about the property itself. It is older and what we expected, so no surprises there. Our room was spacious with a kitchen, private bathroom, one double bed and a set of bunkbeds. The kitchen was basic, with minimum dishes, but clean and plenty of room/seating. There was an AC unit in there as well. The bedroom had 2 windows, a rotating fan mounted by the door, TV, bedside table, small shelf and a large chair that easily fit one carry-on. The bathroom had a closet with hangers, hooks, a suitcase rack and a safe. There were plenty of hooks on the bathroom walls, a huge mirror, and a window that can open easily. Be prepared: the water pressure is good, but goes hot and cold. The bedroom walls are thin and you can hear other guests in the courtyard at night, but it wasn't too bad. Just bring some earplugs. The breakfast was included and decent for what you pay: oatmeal, Pop Tarts, bread, bagels, fruit, coffee, hot chocolate, coffee/tea and cream cheese, peanut butter, jam, etc. There is a small fridge there as well that has breakfast sandwiches that you can heat up in the microwave, but I never had one. We met at least 5 or 6 different staff during the stay and all of them were helpful. We were able to have a 1 hour late check out and luggage stored for the day.”

  • “Great location one street back from the sea front and close to Santa Monica pier. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping very close by. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. Showers, toilets were very clean and well kept”
