I recently had the pleasure of visiting Durungara Jovic in Bistrica, Petrovac na Mlavi, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the friendly staff. The location of Durungara Jovic is truly remarkable, nestled amidst the serene beauty of nature with breathtaking views of the Gornjak chine and the majestic Homolje mountains. Its proximity to monasteries like Gornjak and Vitovnica adds a spiritual dimension to the stay, making it perfect for those seeking both relaxation and cultural exploration. The cleanliness of the facilities was impeccable, reflecting a commitment to hygiene and comfort. As for the food, I was absolutely thrilled with the delicious meals served at Durungara Jovic. Each dish was expertly prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, showcasing the rich flavors of the region. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a spiritual seeker, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, Durungara Jovic offers something for everyone. kids are little bored except pool there no many attractions

Everything was perfect. My recommends to all travelers who like rural enviroment. Clean cabin, food was delicious with proper prices. When we needed something, they provided us as soon as possible. Great family, literally we had a feeling that we are part of the family ☺️

We liked the location and the beautiful area around the house. Beba was always with smile on her face and cooked very tasty food. It's a calm and relaxed place. There are plenty of beautiful places to see around.

As i said we arrived very late, since we lost our way due to google maps. Stick to main roads and consult with host.

Location is kind a hard to find but host was very cooperative and helped us multiple times to find right path. Google navigation is not recommended !!! Host did waited us until 23h do provide us with dinner that should be around 21h. Even with multiple mishaps our stay was very pleasant. Breakfast was very good, Gibanica was perfect.

Getting to the property is a little mess, definitely don’t trust the navigation, just call the owner to give you instructions which I didn’t and it was my fault.

Very cute, rustic little cottage, warm and cozy. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and then breakfast next morning and all was super delicious but most importantly homemade. Would definitely come back and I strongly recommend this property.

Comparing the price of the food with other places, it seems quite high.

The garden and the house are really beautiful, a traditional Serbian house. It's a pleasure to pet the cute dogs and cats. In addition to the great food, the host is very helpful.

We loved everything about it.

We loved the location and isolation of the property. It has its own little garden with the hammocks and lots of flowers and trees (lime trees were our favorite). Authenticity as it’s finest.

The host was super friendly. We had an issue finding the place using Google maps, but he came with his car to guide us to the place. His mom cooked us some amazing traditional dishes for dinner and breakfast. This was an amazing experience for us, staying in a traditional Serbian house. The host was super helpful and tried to help us in any way. They even put an extra bed for us on request.

1. The images of the property are not accurate at all, they represent a house next door which we thought we were looking for, but instead, we were in an old cottage house that was poorly renovated and half run-down. From the images, you would say that the house is somewhere in nature, but actually, it is in a street (across the owner's house) which isn't shown on any pictures, so you don't have a feeling like you're on a remote house. 2. When we arrived, the room was not warm enough since it had AC turned on (the fireplace was not ignited) and we had to wait for the host to provide wood so we could warm up the place. 3. We didn't even meet the host himself and he didn't greet us at all, we had to call each time to get beverage and we didn't get seconds when we asked for. 4. In the description it says there is a fridge, we didn't have any. 5. The reservation price was 11,106din (approx. 95eur for 2 nights), but we were charged 150eurs I believe there are more accurate, more friendly and definitely more cozy/warmer accommodations for the price of 75eur per night.

We had breakfast and dinner while we stayed at the Durungara Jovic. The portions are large and the food itself is great.

I disliked polluted air due to the heating season in the village. In addition, instead of getting home made polenta that was advertised I’ve got instant one for the price of something special…

We liked the authentic look of the little house outside, somewhat also inside. The home maid cheese ‘pita’ was great.
