Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicI don’t think they change the bed sheet after every guest. I saw they just swiped the bedsheed and folded the blanket.
It has great location, with beautiful view to the temple and the mountain. It has its own washing machine for coins and spaceful terrace so you can dry your clothes. And they make very good coffee.

DenmarkNoisy beds in the dorms. Staff didn’t really speak English, made it a bit difficult to communicate about our stay. Very noisy in the room, you can easily hear the people on the stairs and in the showers/bathroom area.
Great location near the old city. Spacious dorms. Good toilets and showers just outside the rooms. Fridge and a small tea kitchen.

BelarusNot really social. Staff behaviour wasn't friendly at all. They have a coffee business on site and it feels like they are more concerned about it. They keep coffee boxes everywhere, they are roasting their own coffee but it's just a shame that they don't treat their guest with coffee. Coffee machine in the shared kitchen is broken and they don't care. I think it would be a nice gesture and a good promo to make at least filter coffee for the breakfast for their guests. All shared spaces are limited with space, the kitchen can fit only 2-3 people at once. And they don't give you a towel, you need to have your own or rent from them for 40 thb.
The room is comfortable, spacious, fresh, bright and clean. Sleeping space is well organised, you have your own light, good socket, mini shelf and curtains, the mattress and the pillow is surprisingly good. The shower cabins and toilets are clean. The shared kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. Good location on the hostels street, close to the old town and beautiful temples.

Nice location! Really close to a small foodmarket (just around the corner) so if you don’t want to walk alone in the evening this is really nice to get some food! Nice kitchen and there’s a fridge where you can put your stuff in. Showers (hot water), sink and toilets were clean. Staff were so kind!

LuxembourgA/C didn't seem to work which made the room really warm. There's no social area so I didn't really meet anyone else staying at the hostel except for the girls in my room.
Slept in the 4 female dorm room which was quite big.

VietnamNot bad just a suggestion I initially booked into the mixed dormitory but whilst I was at the hostel, I noticed that there was a 4-bed dormitory for females at 210Bhat and changed to that dorm after my first night. I think the option should be added here when you book, so you have the option.
The rooms are clean! The shower is Clean! Bed is Comfortable! Great value for money!! Book quickly, the hostel is popular, and I wanted to extend for one more night and they were fully booked for 6 days straight!!

RussiaThe only thing I didn't like was that the bed was quite wobbly, it was very scary to get up and down to the top bed, and with every little movement the bed wobbled, which scared me a little. And one more factor, but maybe I was just unlucky here, but my pillow was extremely uncomfortable due to the number of lumps gathered inside.
cozy and quiet, I was glad that there was an opportunity to choose a room with only girls. Nice staff. There is a kitchen where you can warm up food and free tea/coffee. What was surprising was that the bathroom was separated, it was very convenient. Shampoo and shower gel were also in the shower room for use, which was nice.

ColombiaYou get as you paid. If you are looking for a place to just spend the night you can stay but I personally think there are better options. It wasn't one of my favorites. It was not very clean, and they do not offer various services (but if you need help with transport, tours, print, or others, you can get it from the hostels nearby) I stayed just for the Songkran weekend so maybe thats why.
Nice bed, It is close to the old city, so you can walk and you can find whatever you need close by. And there is a coffee shop in the reception.
